    Strengths: Speed - IF you remove the jumper.

    Weaknesses: It's pretty noisy AND, you have to remove a jumper!

    Overall Evaluation: I can understand Seagate cutting costs by eliminating insultation which reduces noise. Lucky for us, we get Seagate drive quality, half a Terabyte of storage for less than ever. But why? WHY does Seagate shoot themselves in the foot with that stupid 150 limiter jumper? I took mine off and my hard drive rating in Vista went from 5.4 to 5.8 AND, the background operation of the drive went quiet. It's still noisy upfront.

    Strengths: very quiet drive, only clue the drive is running is thru the HD LED, Vista rating is now at 5.9

    Weaknesses: none

    Overall Evaluation: I have only been using this drive for a few days and I am very satisfied with the performance. Will have to see if it will last as long as my other seagate drive

    Strengths: Very fast, quiet, low heat.

    Weaknesses: none

    Overall Evaluation: Purchased this drive and have to say it\\\\\\\'s one of the best i\\\\\\\'ve used. My old Seagate drive is quite noisy but this drive is virtually silent. Comparing to my old drive, runs faster too. Great drive and highly recommended.
