Duration of ownership:6 Days
Strengths: Nice looks, large capacity, very fast when using eSATA connection, switchable b/n Raid 0 and 1 configuration, 3 year warranty
Weaknesses: Poor ventilation, bad box design does not prevent damage to the drive inside, slow via USB, no eSATA cable included, 2 drives in Raid 0 increases probability of a failure
Overall Evaluation: Nice drive, and price is pretty good. When you use it via eSATA connection, it's as fast as any internal drive (esp. in Raid0 mode). eSATA cable, however, is not included in the package. It has certain design flaws that increases probability of it getting broken while being distributed through retail channels - mine arrived with 3 tiny plastic pieces rattling inside. Also, by default it is using Raid 0 configuration which doubles the risk of HDD failure. I'm also concerned about lack of air ventilation inside this case which appears to be insufficient and may lead to a premature HDD failure. However, having 3 year warranty alleviates such concerns. Still I won't trust with any data of high value, unless you run it in Raid 1 mode which cuts available capacity in half but nearly quadruples the reliability of this storage device.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Good form factor. Stays cool and is not noisy at all. Raid 1, eSATA plus USB, small footprint.
Weaknesses: Fairly thin / fragile plastic enclosure
Overall Evaluation: Warranty service is really good. No e-sata cable included. Great deal after PM. It works well for storage of home movies, music, and pictures. 1TB of data should be plenty of storage for the immediate future.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: 3 years warranty. Raid 0 and esata are really fast. Raid 1 is really secure.
Weaknesses: The enclosure is worst case I have seen. My first one is broken when I opened the box.
Overall Evaluation: Please really understand what raid0 and raid1 means before consider buying this hd. The quality of enclosure is not good. Warranty service is really good. There is no option beside raid0 and raid1. No esata cable included.

Weaknesses: Enclosure isn't the greatest but it does have USB and ESATAManufacturer warranty = 1 yr
Overall Evaluation: Just got a huge PM on mine that I purchased 3 weeks ago. I basically paid 10 cents a GB before tax. I am really happy I purchased this and got a great price adjustment. It works well for storage of home movies and pictures. We can grab them over our home network.
