Strengths: strong performance on 5ghz n band; useful network map application
Weaknesses: After not using linksys products for several years due to declining quality and tech support, I decided to try them again. I hoped that their acquisition by cisco would raise the standard. I found that nothing changed. This top of the line router could not establish a connection with either of 2 laptops wirelessly on the 2.4ghz band (this was not a problem with the belkin router I was replacing). I spent hours with linksys tech support on the phone. The tech offered random recommendations, until he admitted he did not know the product in detail.
Overall Evaluation: I will never buy a linksys product again.

Strengths: 2.4GHz/5GHz Dual Band, Range, Stability, Built-in Gigabit Switch.
Weaknesses: Wireless clients dont always connect at highest speed, a bit pricy.
Overall Evaluation: I have had this router for awhile, and overall I am pleased. It offers dual band capability, which as long as your wireless client (notebook, etc) has a dual-band card, throughput is alot higher than a plain 802.11G setup. I consistently get 45 - 50 MB/s transfer rate when testing using a throughput tester, which is alot higher than my old 802.11G router. My only (minor) grip is my notebook doesn't always connect at the highest speed, even though I am within line of sight to the router.

Strengths: Increased speed and range. Slim appearance. Reasonably easy set up if familiar with wireless configurations.
Weaknesses: Firmwear needed upgrade. Crashed during upgrade and had to contact linksys to rewrite flash memory. Price.
Overall Evaluation: I upgraded to this router about eight months ago to increase my networks range and speed from my prior G band router. Required upgrading all the computers in the house to N band to get the maximum benefit, however, was worth it. ONE WARNING: The firmwear that came with my router was not the most current. You can download the newer firmwear from the linksys website but DO NOT attempt to load this wirelessly, use a network cable connection. Mine got corrupted during the upgrade turining the entire think into a paperweight. Finally resolved by reflashing the flash memory with a program provided by Linksys and saved the router.

Strengths: SIMULTANEOUS G and N connections - Reliable performance - Super Fast
Weaknesses: Expensive - Can not set default router to different IP address
Overall Evaluation: I stepped up to the WRT600N when my old G router stopped working. I paid the rather high prices for the WRT600N because I knew it was the only simultaneous dual band router on the market and with legacy G devices on my network, I had to keep them working.I do a lot of PC to PC data movement (streaming to media center, streaming to laptop, large file syncing from laptop to backup). It is so much faster than G. My wife loves it.I am very happy with the router thus far but it is a pretty pricey unit. One thing that bugs me is the fact when it gives out DHCP addresses, it can not set the default router address to something other than itself.

Strengths: Sleek design, lots of configurations, Dual-band radio frequency.
Weaknesses: Configuration page is quite slow and every time you save, it takes 25 to 45 seconds to refresh. It will notify you after the changes are saved. You just need to wait.
Overall Evaluation: I bought this to replace my old Linksys wireless-g due to the my new computer comes with wireless N client. It has the same web style configurations and easy to set up within a few mins. I have no problem so far to set it up. However, each web page configuration once saved, it will take a while to become available again. This is annoying and some of the page saved it will take up to 45 seconds. Secondly, I have Dell wireless N client, D-link wireless G client and Apple powerbook. Once it is setup, only my Apple powerbook is working. The rest are not reachable or have a weak signal. I am planning to return it as my old Linksys G router is working much stable than this one.

Strengths: Ease of installation and set-up.Solid construction and design.Quality output.
Weaknesses: Installation software a little buggy.
Overall Evaluation: I was very impressed upon pulling this out of the box. For the consumer who is concerned with both performance as well as aesthetics, I can say this is definitely an attractive unit that is very strong on performance. The installation of this was an absolute breeze thanks to the EasyLink Advisor software that comes packaged with the router. It took 5 minutes, and walked me through the dismantling and connecting of my old router and my new router. The only issue I had was at the conclusion of installation, the software is supposed to bring you to a main menu where you can access other features (ie. a "network tree" of your equipment". However, it kept looping me back to the installation wizard. I made a quick phone call to Linksys (free tech support!), and they instructed me to downloaded an .exe file from their site that would work for me. Needless to say, it did. And I was happy.Overall, great product, great value too. It works on two different bands, as advertised, and I'm a big fan of the ability to plug removable storage into this and have it accessible on the rest of my network.Definitely go out and buy.

Strengths: Feature rich hardware (Dual band/Storage Link), partially DD-WRT Compatible.
Weaknesses: Buggy firmware which lead to signal issues and poor usb implementation.
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this router because of the USB Storage Link and Dual Band capabilities. I am sorry to say that Linksys has really let us down with the current firmware. The wireless signal is unstable and Storage Link is not reliable enough for me to want to store anything on it. Luckly DD-WRT partially supports this router. Depending on your hardware revision. Wireless stability is perfect and hard drive support is much better. I would say once DD-WRT fully supports this router it will be a great router. Until then it is a very expensive paper weight.

Weaknesses: Price
Overall Evaluation: Well I got this item a month ago. It's my best item. High signal and great large coverage area! I also love the forceful shape! Black and 3 antenas makes very powerful force and gave me a faith for this item. Price is expensive than other N router but It's covered by strengths.

Strengths: simultaneous dual band (only one on market now), FAST FAST speeds, USB storage is nice if you're going to use it (who does?), Can do DD-WRT, fairly good standard firmware with a lot of options
Weaknesses: No stand for vertical orientation, speeds drop off closer than I would have thought, range is not really improved that much
Overall Evaluation: I stepped up to the WRT600N when my old G router stopped working. I paid the rather high prices for the WRT600N because I knew it was the only simultaneous dual band router on the market and with legacy G devices on my network (wii, PS3, etc) I knew I wanted to keep them separate from my N devices to actually see the speed improvement of going to N. Many people will tell you that there's no point in N routers unless you do a lot of PC to PC data movement, since your broadband will be the bottleneck but I have a 15/2 cable modem and I've actually been bandwidth limited by the G speeds (especially if further from the router). Also I do, do a lot of PC to PC data movement (streaming to media center, streaming to laptop, large file syncing from laptop to backup). I am very happy with the router thus far but it is a pretty pricey unit. As more simultaneous dual band routers hit the market I'm sure we'll see the pricing drop to more acceptable levels. If you need to buy a router and you don't have a very fast broadband or do a lot of LAN traffic, then stepping up to N now is really unnecessary and I would probably hold off 6-12 months before buying an N product. Buy a $25 G router to tide you over until the pricing is sub $100. But if you do need the speeds in your LAN environment, have legacy G devices that can't be updated and the pricing doesn't scare you off then this is a great product.

Strengths: - Allows SIMULTANEOUS G and N connections- Reliable performance- Super Fast- Good QOS for VOIP.
Weaknesses: - Expensive- No VPN
Overall Evaluation: This is my third Wi-Fi Linksys router, and about my 10th wireless router. I decided to buy this router because it is one of the routers in the market that allows SIMULTANEOUS N and G connections without any performance degradation. Basically the router has two independent radios, that can work at the same time...one of them handles the G wi-fi and the other the N wi-fi. The advantage is that the N connections can continue to work at N speeds even if there is other equipment in your home that operates at G speeds. Routers that do not have two radios will allow G and N transmitions to occur at the same time, but they will degrade N transmitions to G speeds when a G device is on the network. That does NOT happen with this router, because G devices can work with the G radio and N devices with the N radio, at the SAME time. So that is the main advantage of this router. Other than that all ports are gigabit speed, which is very convenient for current and future high speed ethernet devices. The router also has a USB port for connecting a USB drive, but since I have a dedicated NAS I haven't tried that feature yet. The QOS for VOIP has worked flawlessly. MUCH better than in previous Linksys routers. Since using this router I no longer have to stop downloads or uploads when I am carrying out a conversation with Vonage. The only thing that in my perspective is missing from this device is VPN. It's a pitty that it doesn't have VPN. I would have certainly expected a high priced devices such as this one to have it, particularly given the fact that this device allows connection to a usb drive, and given the fact that Linksys makes stand-alone VPN routers at a lower price than this router.
