Strengths: 1. Extensible memory.2. Excellent codec support with new SigmaTel 3700 chipset.3. Good selection of accessories.
Weaknesses: 1. There's no mass storage class (MSC) support for the main memory.2. The SD card has MSC support, but it's not integrated with the main media library.
Overall Evaluation: I have a Meizu M6 and iPod Nano, and this new Creative Zen beats them both handily. Primarily, I love the extensibility and VC-1 (MP) support, which allows me to insert 8GB SD cards containing over 50 movies that I've transcoded with Microsoft Expression Encoder. Frankly, you can't beat that kind of selection for keeping the kids entertained in the back seat. The most frustrating aspect of the device is the awkward separation between main memory and the memory card. Any contents of the memory card are browsed in a separate area of the user interface and are not indexed like main memory (so you can't view by artist, album, etc.).

Strengths: Small and lightweight, gorgeous screen, flash memory storage, excellent sound quality, syncs seamlessly with Windows Media Player 11, SD card slot allows for expandability
Weaknesses: Smallish buttons may be difficult for big hands, no AC power adapter included (charges via USB), could scratch easily without protection
Overall Evaluation: This player does exactly what I was hoping it would do. I used to own the Zen Vision:M 30GB, but got tired of the heft of that device and I didn't need that much storage. Plus, the battery life suffered from the hard drive storage. This device does everything the Vision:M can do (including store as much if 16GB SD cards existed), but it's lighter, sleeker, and smaller. It even has the same beautiful and bright screen as the M. When I'm not using it, I can put it in my pocket and forget it's there! Truly, one of the best MP3 players of it's size!

Strengths: nice credit card size player, lightweight, excellent sound and crisp clear picture video, easy to use User-Interface -Easy drag and drop transfer(s), expandable memory. Reasonable price. FM radio with record capability. Built in mic.
Weaknesses: Utilization of the expanable memory card should have been better. No power adapter included.
Overall Evaluation: This is a good mp3/video player from Creative. Its sleek, lightweight size fits right in my pocket making it easy to carry. Easy to use and outputs excellent sound, photo, and picture quality. This is a very nice mp3 player. Well worth the price compared to others on the market right now. I would recommend this to others.
