    Duration of ownership:2 Months

Strengths: Powerful Graphics Card, Dual DVI, HD Supported,SLI Capable, Single Slot, Over-Clockable

Weaknesses: Runs Pretty Warm, Fan Can Be Annoying

Overall Evaluation: This card is great. I tossed it into my custom built Dell XPS 630i and it has yet to disappoint me. I've ran more than a handful of games in a resolution of 1920 x 1080 with all the settings maxed and have yet to see any of my frame rates dip below the low 60's. Old games like Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142 won't even cause it to break a sweat. Newer games (Frontlines: Fuels of War & Rainbow Six Vegas 2) give it a little bit more to do but still no trouble. Once you hit the BioShock, Gears of War, Crysis area it can be very system taxing. This card will run Crysis, just don't expect Very High Settings and max resolution. My only complaints with this card is that I don't have two, and that it runs slightly hot. Turn your fan speed up from 29% to +70% and that'll help a lot.

Strengths: fast card, best warranty in the market

    Weaknesses: none so far

Overall Evaluation: This is the best bang for the buck if you are a computer gamer. 8800GT is so affordable than ever before. For less than $150 (with rebate and etc.) you could almost play every game smoothly.Plus XFX has the best of the best warranty - double lifetime! it justs keeps the resale value of the card, coz you know you are gonna upgrade in no more than 2 years when new generations come out.

Strengths: -Reasonable price point (05/08 avg $150AR)-Great performance-Best card warranty out there-Package included full Company of Heroes game

Weaknesses: -Card is long. Make sure you have room in case and a dedicated 6-Pin PCI power connector

Overall Evaluation: My system (yes, it's about 2 yrs old)- Pentium D 820 Dual Core 2.8Ghz,800FSb, 2gig Dual Channel 533Mhz DDR2, Windows XP SP2, SBlaster X-Fi 500W Rosewill Stallion ATX12v v2.2 PSU Old Vid Card: EVGA 256MB 7600GT GDDR3 Before removing my old card I did benchmarks with 3dmark03 and 3dmark06 Installing the XFX card was relatively easy. It's almost twice as long as my old 7600 and required a dedicated PCI-E 6 pin power connector. I installed the 175.16 Nvidia Driver w/ Ntune. My 1st concern was whether my 500W PSU would post.No problems. I then ran the System Stability Test w/Ntunes for 30 mins (all components). No problems there either. Nvidia MonitorView reported the temperatures at 51-53C before and after the stress test. The card fan did not get loud once (yes. mine came with a variable fan). I then followed the Stress test with the 3dmark03 and then 3dMark06 benchmarks. After running both of them, temp remained at 53C. Now, here are the results of my benchmark.: 7600GT 3dmark03=13,104 3dmark06=3,271 8800GT 3dmark03=26,020! 3dmark06=6,333 Basically, my $145AR upgrade doubled my performance! Plus the package came with Company of Heores full retail game. This is definitely the best bang per upgrade dollars I've ever spent!

Strengths: Almost everything, Warranty from XFX

    Weaknesses: Pricey

Overall Evaluation: I got this to upgrade my old graphics card. This card is amazing. It can handle almost any game even at high frame rates. The build quality is very nice. Never faced any issue about any type of incompatibility. I have VISTA on my comp. The card comes with Double lifetime warranty which is the best warranty a graphics card company can offer. The warranty is valid even if you overclock it. The warranty is also transferable. I recommend any card from XFX and 8800GT card is currently one of the best at present. Its a bit pricey though but I am sure it will come down over time.

Strengths: Powerful graphics, double lifetime-warranty, dual dvi, includes game

Weaknesses: Price! Runs Hot! Card is too long, Fan is loud

Overall Evaluation: Finally splurge and bought myself a near high-end graphics card for my gaming needs at the time. This card totally fulfills it. Crysis runs great and smooth with the settings all on high. Double lifetime warranty is a great bonus, helps cut down cost if and when I choose to upgrade again. The stock cooling is too loud for my taste, seems like its running on high all the time. Will be going for an aftermarket quiet solution. The card seemed to fit well in my case, but with smaller cases, I can see a problem with it fitting. Overall this is a great buy for gamers!

    Weaknesses: still expensive

Overall Evaluation: I had quite a hard time finding this 8800 GT video card from online merchants, i.e. finding it at MSRP. Most sell this above MSRP. I bought this because of the favorable reviews out there. This does not take a lot of space in your computer real estate.

Strengths: Price, performance, one slot, sli capable, double lifetime warranty, overclocking

    Weaknesses: gets hot

Overall Evaluation: I have been very pleased with this card. It runs valve games like butter and can run Crysis at decent settings. My 3DMark scores easily reached 11000 running on Vista Business 32-bit with an AMD X2 5000+ CPU and 4gb of DDR2 PC2-6400 4-4-4-12 ram. I was able to overclock it the gpu to 700MHz and the video ram to 950MHz. I definitely recommend increasing the fan speed to 70% from the stock 30% using rivatuner. Overall a fantastic card.

Strengths: great performance, double lifetime warranty (you and next owner), single slot card

Weaknesses: gpu fan is locked @ 29%, currently still uses a smaller, gpu fan; many retailers are price gouging 8800gt cards

Overall Evaluation: the 8800gt gpu series offers the best best price/performance currently available. it is better than the older 8800gts and offers performance that is competitive with the gtx series. the price and performance of this line of gpu's has made the 8800gt a very popular item. this series' popularity has resulted in retailer price gouging, which has made this once $250 card closer to $300. still, there's nothing as worthwhile from either ati or nvidia as the better performance offered by other nvidia lines are marginal compared to their extra incremental costs. i can now play TF2 and COD4 @ 1280x1024 w/ most settings on max. this is a huge improvement over my previous 7600gt card. my only gripe w/ the card is the fact that the gpu fan is locked @ 29% and doesn't increase when the temperature rises. on the orginal, smaller fan (some 8800gt's have newer, large rfans) this results in a very hot gpu. the problem can be remedied w/ software such as rivatuner, but hopefully XFX will release a bios that will correct the issue. if you're a gamer looking for a new video card, you can't go wrong w/ an 8800gt.

Strengths: Extremely capable video card, can handle the latest graphic intensive games like Crysis, double-lifetime warranty.

    Weaknesses: None so far

Overall Evaluation: The XFX GeForce 8800GT Video Card is one the best buys on the market today. It actually performs better in many areas than a GeForce GTS or GTX card. I upgraded from a BFG GeForece 7900 GT OC and am very happy with the performace of the XFX card. It handles Crysis at high settings with no problem at all. With the BFG card I could only run the game on medium settings. The card is easy to overclock using the Nvidia overclocking utility and remains stable at higher than factory default settings. An excellent value for the money even though as other reviewrs stated, the cost is over list price at many retailers. If you're looking to upgrade your video card, the XFX GeForce 8800 GT is the way to go.
