    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:15 Days

Strengths: 1 well-built machine 2. fashion design 3. high quality print and fax

Weaknesses: the toner is kind of expensive

Overall Evaluation: This is the best fax machine (with laser printer) I have ever used. It scans 50 pages at a time super quick and faxes immediately when the line is free. It prints very fast with high print quality. It's very easy to use and understand. The copy feature is another reason for you to buy this all-in-one machine! A small business should get one!

Strengths: 1. easy to operate2. fast machine that also doubles as a USB laser printer and a copy machine3. business performance and high quality

Weaknesses: there might be a learning curve if you've never owned a fax machine before

Overall Evaluation: It really works perfectly in an office environment for a small business. Fax is quick. Print quality is just excellent. Quiet and fast. You won't be disappointed for this product.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: AIO functions, reliable, nice printing quality

Weaknesses: no flatbed, little bit noise when printing

Overall Evaluation: have been using for one year already. it's such a reliable AIO printer/fax machine. easy to set up. nice printing quality. Canon is a really solid brand. have changed toner once. not OEM one. generic toner works great. and it's much cheaper than OEM toner. Only complain is the noise. a little bit high than I imaging.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:4 Months

Strengths: No dried out inkjets, rapid scanning, advanced functions, multifunction, small size, energy saving mode

Weaknesses: Needs high quality paper or else it can feed double pages, expensive toner refills, USB cable not included

Overall Evaluation: The Canon Faxphone L170 is very well built. It has a small footprint and fits easily on the desk. Assembly of the machine was easy with the help of the instructions. Installation of drivers/software on Windows XP was easy. Sending a basic fax requires four steps: 1. Turn machine on (or awaken from sleep mode). 2. Dial fax number. 3. Place fax pages face down in feed tray. 4. Press START button. The pages are quickly scanned into memory before the number is dialed. Transmission of faxes seems to be slow and the quality of the transmitted fax is good. Keep the user manual handy. There are a lot of advanced functions and it is not trivial to perform them using only the LCD display on the printer to guide you. The laser printing of text from your PC is sharp and uniform. Graphics printing suffers from problems usual for B&W printers. The ability to scan pages/images directly to your PC makes this machine versatile. Refill toner is fairly expensive for this machine.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Fast printing speed

    Weaknesses: A little large

Overall Evaluation: The Canon L170 is really a great machine. We use it everyday and it's very reliable. It is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to fax machines. If you need a high quality, dependable machine, this is the one.

    Duration of ownership:2 Days

Strengths: Good quality with laser, All in one functions: print, copy, fax, phone, fast printing

    Weaknesses: heavy and bulky, expensive

Overall Evaluation: It is a good laser fax machine with AIO functions. It can be used as a printer/copier/phone/fax machine. It is a good quality for everyday use in home and office. The machine is weighing 25 lbs and kindof big. The inks are a bit overpriced but i can choose from other names for budgets.

    Duration of ownership:10 Weeks

Strengths: Good print quality, high speed 33.6 kbps fax, and comes with a printer

    Weaknesses: n/a

Overall Evaluation: This is a great quality laser high speed fax. Don't buy cheap fax machines, as the quality and speed is much worse. This laser fax is easy to use, sturdy, nice design, and fast! This fax also comes with a printer you can hook up to your computer if you want (printer driver downloadable for free from manufacturer website; uses USB cable for printer). I think that this fax and the Canon L80 are the best faxes for out there for consumers. (I think OKIDATA makes great faxes for businesses).

    Duration of ownership:1 Months

Strengths: great laser fax and print quality

    Weaknesses: kinda big..

Overall Evaluation: I love this printer, fax, phone, and copier all-in-one. I don't really use it as a printer or copier as I can do those things cheaper on a device that is only a laser printer (which I also have). This device produces great quality faxes and is easy to use and fast.

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:1 Weeks

Strengths: Crystal clear printouts, fast and relatively easy to set up.

Weaknesses: A little bit larger than the four year old Brother machine it replaced, but that is fine.

Overall Evaluation: The best part of this machine is very small. We just purchased this machine about a week ago for use in our small Real Estate Office, and find that it handles faxes several times faster than its predecessor. Both input and output are great, and the clarity of the copies are sooo much better. We needed only one call for assistance to the Canon help desk-- which was handled with speed and aplomb. The standard setting for handling incoming faxes of a different vertical size than the paper you are currently using is handled automatically. It has many other programmable features that are straightforward and easy to change. We like this reasonably priced machine. Very nice one.
