    Overall Rating: 1 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:6 Months

Strengths: Sleek design; great finish and styling Easy setup; plug and play; no compatibility issues Familiar web interface for configuration Expanded network range

Weaknesses: Lasted 6 months; dropped DSL connections and self rebooted constantly Extremely unreliable wireless; had to reboot router daily Very long delay in establishing PPOE link to ISP

Overall Evaluation: Had a lot of confidence and hope given brand name but severely disappointed Actually shocked that any item associated with Cisco could be such garbage Cannot return to store now as past 1 month period Will attempt compensation from Linksys but not hopeful – buyer beware, brand means nothing

    Duration of ownership:3 Months

Strengths: Over a Linksys B router, who wouldn't smile?

Weaknesses: Setup was a challenge. I won so far.

Overall Evaluation: I don't recall why but the Linksys Advisor didn't help initially. I removed it and I switched to commanding the router from its IP address. A few tips from the internet helped me. I have had no issues since, and I love it.

    Overall Rating: 2 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:1 Weeks

Strengths: Easy setup, better speed than G (but only 2x based on my measurements), internal antenna (so no external honky kinda radar antennas like the other N linksys routers)

Weaknesses: No better range than my 802.11G, no option to set router to only 802.11N, userid name cannot get updated on router

Overall Evaluation: Overall I was quite disappointed. The range was worse than my 802.11G router (yes worse), but the speed was 2x as fast. There is no setting on the router to run only on 802.11N, the admin user name is kept blank (you cannot enter a user name). Setup was easy except it said 'finished' when it really wasn't completely setup, so I ended up having to go into the IP address to complete the setup for the isp provider settings. It was no better than G - Overall I expected a whole lot more!

    Duration of ownership:1 Days

Strengths: Quick and easy setup. Slick Futuristic Design

    Weaknesses: None Noted

Overall Evaluation: I hadn't heard any press on this and was surprised to find it at my Best Buy store. I like it better then the larger more obtrusively designed Linksys with the radar tower attached.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:2

Strengths: Pleasing visual design. Easy to setup. Fast connect to internet.

    Weaknesses: None so far.

Overall Evaluation: Purchased in May 2010 for $79. A great overall improvement over the Netgear WGR614NA router previously installed in my system. Maintains strong signal enabling notebook wireless to keep internet connection through many interior wall while notebook is in garage.

    Overall Rating: 2 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: When it works, it's fine

Weaknesses: It crashes, unstable, and then hard to reconfigure.

Overall Evaluation: Makes me very leary of trusting CISCO/linksys again. At the start it hooks up, works fine, and then for no reason you can't connect. Everything checks out, then you test the router and you understand that it just failed. You reset everything, and it starts to run again, then a week later it fails again.

    Duration of ownership:2 Months

    Strengths: Easy setup.

Weaknesses: Serious problem with DNS. This router will cause DNS errors.

Overall Evaluation: Many users have found that they go to facebook and wind up on myspace. Similar errors our found on other sites. There are workarounds that sort of fix the problem, but linksys has known about this err

    Duration of ownership:30 Days

    Strengths: New designNo external antennae

Weaknesses: Not flat, hard to stack with other items

Overall Evaluation: It was easy to set up. The Linksys Advisor software that comes with the unit is very good although the older version was a little more user friendly. I was replacing an old router and switching to Windows Vista at the same time so I had a few rough spots but I was up and running in a couple hours including my wireless laser printer. I still need to secure my network but the instructions look like it shouldn't be a big problem.

    Duration of ownership:2 Weeks

    Strengths: easy setup

    Weaknesses: unstable, poor tech support

Overall Evaluation: The setup was easy and seemed to go fine. But within hours of installation, the connection failed and I had to restart the router. This kept happening about 5 times per day. I reinstalled and called tech support but they would just make some minor tweaks in the settings and tell me that would fix it. After three calls to tech support I'm returning it. Perhaps a defective unit, perhaps indicative of this product line. Regardless, my next router will not be from linksys.
