    Overall Rating: 2 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:60 Days

Strengths: Nice job printing photos and text, but only with coated papers.

Weaknesses: Tiny ink cartridges, slooooow, noisy, plus the draft setting is almost impossible to read, requiring you to use normal, ink drinking, mode.

Overall Evaluation: I've owned an Epson photo 750, a Lexmark and two HP Deskjets. I still use my old HP 722c. I promised I'd never buy another Epson. No question in my mind, they are a poor value. HP and Lexmark cartridges are much larger and cost the same or less. The only reason I bought the Epson Photo 925, was because Outpost was selling refurbished units for 39.95. Yes, you read that right. This includes a color and black cartridge. Yep, for the price of the cartridges, I got a free printer. And after my Epson Photo 750 experience, 39.95 was about all I'd pay for the 925. I don't regret the purchase for the price, but no way I would ever buy another Epson product unless they were giving it away. It really makes you wonder, why would Outpost be selling the printers for 39.95? I say it's because they keep coming back, and they also probably had a ton of refurbished units sitting in a warehouse that nobody wanted. So far the 925 has been okay, but my 750 was nothing but trouble. Heads were clogged contantly and required endless, ink wasting, head/jet cleaning. The 925 sounds exactly like my old 750, hinting little has changed. Lexmark has been solid, but is cheapy and noisy.I've been printing with ink jets for 10 years. Don't waste money on expensive inkjets. Find a deal on an HP photo printer for printing photos and color (125.00 or less). Then find a decent entry level laser printer for b/w printing (200.00). You may spend a little more up front, but the cost of printing b/w will be a fraction of ink jet cost, plus you'll get sharp text even on the cheapest paper sold.My Prefs for inkjet:HP - quiet, solid, reliable, very good quality printLexmark - loud, reliable, good quality printEpson (if free)- loud, unreliable, drinks ink, good quality printing (photos only), text is good but only using coated paper.

    Duration of ownership:1 Years

Strengths: It has good printing results when using the premium photo.

Weaknesses: The LCD and the viewer attachement are very difficult to read. The 4x6 paper roll is difficult to load and when printing from the roller, the photos are curled. Too many to list.

Overall Evaluation: In summary, I hate this printer. It uses ink way too fast. It has too many conflicts with XP. The automatic paper cutter is not so automatic. It never cuts the paper where it is supposed to. Even after aligning the cutter over and over again it still won't cut the photo right. I have had this printer for about a year and I've only printed about 40 photos. Each printing experience has been terrible. There has always been some problem... I hate this printer so much that I don't even bother to use it anymore. I've decided to never listen to an instore sales rep ie; epson again.

    Duration of ownership:1 Years

    Strengths: Outstanding photo quality

Weaknesses: Really slow. paper jams easily. ink does not last very long. eventually broke on me in a little more than a year.

Overall Evaluation: overall, prints out amazing quality photos. unfortunately, you need a little patience using it because of lack of speed, jamming, and the amount of ink it eats up. wouldn't recommend it buying it.

    Duration of ownership:2 Months

Strengths: Awsome photo prints. Good color ink usage/price.

Weaknesses: Not really for everyday use. Slow for day to day printing.

Overall Evaluation: This printer has been great for what I bought it for ... printing photos. I have two small children and am always printing photos for the grandparents, aunts, uncles etc...However, I do still rely on my trustee old HP 882c for everyday printing of websites, text documents etc.I don't think you'll find higher quality photo output from any printer close to this price range.

    Duration of ownership:6 Months

Strengths: Turns on when you press the On button. Good quality photos - when you can get it to print

Weaknesses: little OS X support, no support for roll paper on macs, problems feeding paper, black cartridge out of ink after 15-30 pages

Overall Evaluation: Saw an ad for this printer in MacWorld - falsely assumed that would mean that it was supported on my mac and liked the digital camera media slots. Bought the printer and have had nothing but trouble with it since. Using the roll paper attachment is not supported on Macs. This information is not available until you buy the thing and finally get around to trying to use and read in the manual that it isn't supported. Not supported for printing via USB to the AirPort Extreme Base Station. Had problems with it feeding paper. It would jam after printing 4-5 pages of 10+ page documents and would then have to feed paper one page at a time. Have owned the printer about six months, and have only printed about 50 pages of documents, but gone through 3 black ink catridges (EPSON's site says I should be getting about 500 pgs per cartridges). Another one of these printers that nothing on the printers works if one of the cartridges is out of ink or removed (ie. you want to print something that is color only, but you're out of black ink, or vice versa.) So aggravated with it, only printed two photos with it, but they turn out excellent.

    Duration of ownership:1 Months

Strengths: Quality print result, Sharp color. Even with generic ink cartridges still print quality pictures.

Weaknesses: A little slow to print (compare to Canon S900).

Overall Evaluation: Previous owner of Canon S900 printer, it broke and Best Buy replaces (under Performance Service Plan) it w/ any printer up to my price bought at $250.00. Compare to S900, this is a best buy for a photo quality printer, a little bit slow for photo printer, but it worth to wait additional minutes/seconds to print. Better quality print out compare to S900. Generic cartridges sells for $9.00/ pair at eBay. Eventhough I only owned it for less than one month, I have used this printer to print many pages of pictures, I have used 3 color cartridges so far, and no complain. Please use Epson original and Office Depot photo paper to get the best quality photo result. Highly recommend photo printer

    Duration of ownership:3 Months

Strengths: Great when printing directly from flash card.

Weaknesses: Bad support with Mac OSX compatability. Endless information on not to purchase this printer if you are a Mac user.

Overall Evaluation: Would buy a different brand if I knew this printer would not work with Mac. There is for more superior printers out there than Epson. Have spent way to many late nights try ing to get good pictures from my system.
