Strengths: 1080p, excellent visuals, can fit in most places, glossy look
Weaknesses: Some people would supplement the TV with external speakers.
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this TV 3 months ago at a great price. I have a PS3 so I'ved used this TV's 1080p capability by watching blu-rays. The picture and sound are crystal clear. This TV can also double as a computer monitor. I have pretty much used it daily (especially as a monitor) and have not had any problems. It's 32 inch size and slim design can fit in most places. It's not too heavy and can easily be moved around. It matches well with my PS3 because both have a glossy black and chrome finish. There are many visual modes to switch to depending on what you're watching (movie, sports, game, PC). It also does not produce much heat (or use up to much energy).

Strengths: Great picture in a very small form factor
Weaknesses: Needs a strong input signal to get the best picture.Wish there were separate coax inputs for cable and antenna.
Overall Evaluation: I believe the entire line of Sharp Aquos LCD TVs offer the best bang for the buck [I also own a 37" and 52" Aquos]. Love the picture quality and the non-glare screen that eliminates reflections in my brightly lit family room. No other 32" LCD TV could fit in my entertainment cabinet other than this Sharp TV with the ultra-thin bezel. The reduced weight is an added bonus. I still watch a lot of SD TV [HD is not available in my area] but I still get a fantastic picture using the S-video output from my digital cable box. Even analog cable produces an acceptable picture, but be sure you have a strong input signal. I have a cable signal level meter and found that too many splitters will cause problems unless you also have a good amplifier to compensate for the signal loss. HD DVD quality is amazing as are regular DVDs played through a good upconverting DVD player [I recommend Oppo or Toshiba]. I see no evidence of "banding" that some have complained about and love the ability to customize the picture for my viewing environment. It may not be the cheapest TV of this size, but you will not be disappointed with the quality.

Strengths: 1080p, 2000:1 static contrast ratio, many color adjustments, decent number of hdmi, component, composite inputs, decent 15w X 2 speakers, no coil noise, extremely thin and small
Weaknesses: Only 2 HDMI ports, picture not quite as good as some higher end 1080p tvs such as the Sony 32" 1080p, Size is actually 31.5"
Overall Evaluation: This an extremely good tv for the price. It's not the best 32" 1080p all around as some other companies have made equal or better ones, but it's great for under $800. This is a tv you should be purchasing as a computer monitor as well. I've tested various games and it works quite well. It's also very thin and low weight for it's size. This makes it handy to stick on desks. Do not get this tv if you're just looking for a standard tv, get it if you need a monitor, a game console tv, or something small for the bedroom.

Strengths: * Picture quality is pretty good. * it has enough HD receivers* It even has a PC input that I can hook my computer. The effect is good too
Weaknesses: * Can't receive any HD program without cable or directv etc* Manual information is not very clear. I can't setup my dvd player and vcr player through the bundled remote control.
Overall Evaluation: I paid less than $800 for this product. So this product worths the price. If you pay it more than $1000, do not buy it.32inch looks like small in my apt. Suggest you buy a 42 inch one

Strengths: 1080p sharpness, great color rendering right out of box, bright screen no reflection. Built in qam tuner.
Weaknesses: PC connection a little tricky, see below for details.
Overall Evaluation: I bought this TV mainly to take full advantage of my recently purchased 1080p camcorder, and now I am obviously more addictive to TV shows than ever before. Thanks to the built-in QAM tuner, I realized that my household already have over 20 clear QAM HD channels comes free through my current cable. What a gift!I tried to connect a PC to this set using the 15-pin analog D-sub, and was always limited to 1600x1200 no matter how good the video card is, then I just realized that this could be Sharp's problem. Some search on the web shows I may have to use HDMI connection to be able to use full 1920x1080 resolution. This was not clear on Sharp's manual. My new cable is on the way now, hopefully it will perform as expected. I will update my review once my cable arrives. The only pitty is I should have throw in a little more money to buy a bigger one if I am not limitted by the in-wall cabinet :( Well this is not sharp's fault for sure ;)************************************************I just received my DVI->HDMI cable, and sure enough I can set resolution to 1920x1080 now! Amazing pictures!

Strengths: Full 1080P, spectacular image, great looking, and pretty thin!
Weaknesses: Price as compared to some other 32-inchers. Speakers are a bit lacking.
Overall Evaluation: A pretty thorough search for a new 32" flat panel television led me to the Sharp AQUOS LC-32D64U. I had two conditions that were a must: 1) the television was capable of full 1920x1080p resolution and 2) it could be hooked up to a computer at full resolution via HDMI. This television met both criteria, although the set's manual does not indicate that it is capable of the second requirement (it mentions the max resolution being around 1600 x something or other - I don't recall off hand, but you can download the manual from Sharp's website if you're curious). The oversight in the manual (and a follow-up call to an apparently uninformed Sharp customer service rep) almost caused me to look elsewhere. Fortunately, another kind soul had already posted a review stating that he was using the television as a computer monitor set to 1920x1080. Indeed, once I finally got it hooked up and reset the computer's resolution to 1920x1080, it worked perfectly! Very nice! The picture on the LC-32D64U is gorgeous! The colors are vibrant (but not overkill), and the backlight is ample for most conditions. Contrast is rated at 2000:1 native. Compared to the other LCDs in my house, this one definitely produces darker blacks. To reduce power consumption, I opted to use the feature that reduces brightness based on ambient lighting conditions. This seems to detract a bit from the picture, but over all, it still looks darned good. When the room is darkest (lightsoff at night), the set draws around 50-60 watts with this feature enabled. During the day, it'll draw roughly 125-150 watts. Both readings are taken from a Kill-A-Watt meter. As expected, high def content (from HD-DVDs) looks fantastic. The computer I have this hooked up to is a mediacenter pc using an external hd-dvd drive (the xbox 360 add-on) in conjunction with powerdvd 7. The television is being driven via a DVI-to-HDMI cable by an nvidia 8400GS HDCP compliant video card.Standard def video from DVDs looks great as well. Cable TV looks fine, but upconverting is being handled by the computer, not the LCD.In the end, this is a very nice LCD television. If you are intending on hooking up to a computer, pay no attention to Sharp reps (unless you're lucky enough to find a knowledgeable one). This thing can easily handle full HD resolution, 1080p. I saw no streaking or ghosting during fast action scenes (the TV is rated at 6ms response I believe), so it'll probably work pretty well for gaming. And it looks pretty sleek!

Strengths: 1080p output. Clear crisp images. Connected a Samsung 1080P7 DVD Upconverter (bought it during the format wars) w/ HDMI - Excellent display. Optical audio output. OCP is a plus as well.
Weaknesses: Limited access to inputs when mounting to wall. Wii via component cable pixelates (can only display up to 480P, so more of a Wii problem). Huge remote. Limited sleep timer options.
Overall Evaluation: Did a lot of research before buying this bad boy. I looked at LGs, Samsungs, Sonys, Panasonics, etc. Sharp is the only company I found that suited my needs in regards to watching movies, TV, and gaming.Have yet to experience full HD on it, haven't shelled out the dough for a Blu-ray player, although DVD upconversion looks awesome. Built in speakers are decent as well, although there is a slight delay if I match them w/ my 1000W surround via optical causing an echo. As I said above, the Wii looks better via composite audio/video than it does on component cables. Very pleased with my purchase so far. As Weevah states the inputs can be labelled to pre-sets for easier selection... but nothing very detailed beyond 'Satellite', 'DVD', etc.Hope this helps in selecting one of the best mid-sized LCDs on the market.

Strengths: Bright, sharp, crisp picture at 1080p and 720p, a nice amount of inputs, decent speakers, makes for a very big PC monitor, light weight, one of the few models that support 1080p at this size.
Weaknesses: Smaller than I expected when compared to my 32 in CRT
Overall Evaluation: I had done extensive research on this TV and took a while before I took the plunge for it. At first I was worried about the banding issue inherent in Sharp models due to the uneven backlighting. But after plugging it in I could not find anything of that sort. Watching HD channels, bluray, ps3 games is amazing the pq is so vivid and crisp! Not having to deal with reflections has been a blessing on my eyes as well. Only thing I would have done differently was gotten a bigger size.

Strengths: Excellent pictureGood selection of inputs
Weaknesses: No support for 1080p on the PC input
Overall Evaluation: An excellent 1080p television. Since buying it, I've used it to play PS3 and Xbox 360 games, and watch DVDs. It performs wonderfully for all these tasks. Even the speakers, which I expected to dislike, perform well. My only problems are the lack of 1080p support on the PC input (it doesn't support 1920x1080 resolution, which I tested on my Xbox 360), and the inability to supply custom names for the inputs (you can only pick from a list of pre-set options like "DVD", "CD", "HDMI1", etc). While ultimately unimportant, when I read that you could name the inputs, I thought I'd be able to name them something more descriptive (like "PS3", "360", etc). Overall, the TV is excellent, and my problems with it wouldn't stop me from recommending the TV to others.
