Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Price, Ease of setup
Weaknesses: Range
Overall Evaluation: I wanted to replace my old DI-624 with something with better range for my upstairs networking. I found that the DI-624M actually had a weaker range than the router it was replacing. I ended up selling the unit and going for D-Link's DIR-655 which I can say really performs.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Easy to set up, rarely drops signals, fast, great range
Weaknesses: None yet
Overall Evaluation: My experience with this router has been great. I bought it to replace and aging Belkin 54g and got exactly what I wanted...easy setup, connectivity for four XP and one Windows 2000 machine, and fantastic range. I can go across the street well into a park and get on my network without a problem. I can't account for anyone who has had trouble with this unit since I'd buy it again in a second.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: looks zippy
Weaknesses: Let us count them:
Overall Evaluation: For starters if any 802.11b wireless clients join the wireless LAN this D-Link drops the whole WLAN to 802.11b, unlike the Belkin. If you're like me and have some 802.11b units (older laptops with built-in wireless that can't be upgraded to 802.11g) you'll not like this aspect.I found absolutely NO improvement of wireless range or signal, unlike the Belkin. My old Apple Airport (about 5 years old) was better than this unit for wireless connectivity.I set this D-Link off to the side soon as my Belkin Pre-N arrived. I think I'll put it on eBay for cheap one of these days...

Duration of ownership:3 Days
Strengths: Compact size and sample, easy setup. The product looks looks very sturdy and well made. Installation was very quick.
Weaknesses: None that I'm aware of although I am not a computer guru.
Overall Evaluation: My computer technology expert recommended this product and he set it up for me. According to him it works fine and accomplished everything he wanted, so therefore I'm equally happy. I was able to obtain a very favorable price by using Price Grabber and saved about $40.00 over the price in the local store and I received the product in a matter of a few days and was only charged $2.99 for shipping. The savings included a $20.00 rebate.

Strengths: Price
Weaknesses: Everything else
Overall Evaluation: Although it is advertised as up to 8 X the range and backward compatible with 802.11b and g, the signal strength was much worse than my DI-614+ b router. My DLW-120 USB adapter, which picks up some signal from the b, could not even connect with the MIMO router. Thinking the unit was defective, I exchanged it for another - same problem. Technical phone support at D-Link told me the b adapter was too slow to connect. What happened to the backwards compatibility? This ended my loyalty to D-Link and I will unlikely buy one of their products again.

Strengths: It seems a little better than DI-624. It doesn't loss connection as DI-624 I have before.
Weaknesses: It can only setup 2 static ip address.
Overall Evaluation: I always have D-link for my network solution. I am dispointed for the only 2 static ip address. It need to be updated the firmware but there is no update so far in D-link website. Other than that, I am happy with this new wireless router because my living room can receive a better singal than before.
