    Strengths: Complex story, great graphics

Weaknesses: objectives not obvious at times

Overall Evaluation: incredible web of parallel perspectives of good and evil. what you believed was the enemy had it's own side to the story and what you though was your friend was something else. great action sequences and imaginative weapons.

    Overall Rating: 3 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:6 Days

    Strengths: -New weapons-Excellent Physics-Online Play

Weaknesses: -Poor Story-Short Game-No Computer AI in multiplayer-Replay Value

Overall Evaluation: Halo 2 is by far the most realistic FPS to date. You can actually feel every bullet. And with a new arsenal that is doubled that of the first, thats a lot of bullets. The gameplay goes into more depth with the Arbiter becoming a playable character giving players the weilding power of a vibrosword. But above all is Master Chief back in action whoopin as$. The games awesome when it comes to graphics, feel, and sound. The legendary mode is great for hardcore fans but might bore players who play for fun. Vehicle hopping is a lot of fun as well in multiplayer mode. But despite these new additions, the game may have taken a little too long to come out.Which brings us to the drawbacks. Thats right, Halo 2 does have a few. The story line first of all could use a little work. Playing through, you will notice no cinema other than the opening, lasts longer than two minutes. Not even the ending. The talking rhyming plant thing was done in pet shop of horrors. And the plague seem to be really intelligent. The side notes are told by Cortana which is a cool idea. But she always talks while your shooting so in order to understand the game, some levels will have to be played over. The levels in this Halo were much less redundant, but than again, the game seemed much shorter. It took me twelve hours to beat the game and that was with taking my time and exploring. Legendary mode adds to replay value but not much, the most drastic change is how long it takes you to kill an enemy. I would say this mode is for bragging rights more than anything else. Multiplayer is better now that it is online but you don't have computer AI. So unless you have xbox online or a lot of friends the Multiplayer mode doesn't stretch too far. So with the Campaign mode being short and fruitless, and the Multiplayer mode being only multi person friendly, the game gets old quick. That is unless you have Xbox online. And finally, what happened to saving the human race, like in the demo? Instead I just ended up on another Halo doing the same thing fighting the same people. Overall this game is basically: Better than the first. Could have been a lot more. Took to long to come out, and thats the reason why I feel this game is so lacking. It was revolutionary in 2002, maybe even 2003. But in 2004 it is just pretty **** good.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:1 Months

Strengths: All around the greatest FPS and maybe game ever. As always, awsome graphics, nonstop action, and the beam sword!

Weaknesses: Still can't get bots in multiplayer... XBOX live compensates for that small fact. also, it had the worst ending possible.

Overall Evaluation: Please, all of you who are complaining about this game, shut up. The only flaw in this masterpiece is the ending, which is gay, but it just means that you will be forced to purchase Halo 3. This is unfourtunate, but it means that about the time this game dies out of the limelight, Halo 3 will be released, giving us all something more to talk about. It will give us one more way to compete and brag, and one more chance to claim to be able to drop an army with a handgun. For those who have just purchased this game, I pity you for not having reaped the fruits yet. But you are about to experience a gaming phenomenon. If you begin in normal, a 10-16 hour playing time will be normal. On legendary, things can take as long as you are skilled. Either way, you will hate the ending. Fair Warning. You might as well Pre-order Halo 3 because you will need it to maintain your sanity.

    Duration of ownership:16 Days

Strengths: The strengths for Halo 2 is the muilt- player mode. Plus, now it can connect to XBOX Live, it makes its even better. I love how, you can play as an Elite and you see their side of the story.

Weaknesses: The only weakness that Halo 2 had was that the cut- sences were dropped and not long effort.

Overall Evaluation: Just get this game, you will not feel sorry about it. If you do, I'll pay for the game. Remember in it's 1st 24 hours Halo 2 sold about 1.5 million copies, making about 125 million dollars.

Strengths: the high graphics and quality of game play. The non-respawning on legendary

Weaknesses: a rubish ending and the lengh of the game is to short

Overall Evaluation: congradulations to the guys at bungie for making another sucessfull game but making it to short made half life 2 the better game by far but still 1 of the best games ever made. Any way at least it lasted two days instead of one, like the other (on normal of course).

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Improved graphics, well implemented dual weilding, great same gameplay, additional vehicles, true multiplayer, vehicle jacking, co-op mode is still great to play, continuation of a good story.

Weaknesses: Still suffers from repetitive level syndrome, no more than 2 player co-op or system or online co-op, Campaign mode is kind of short, texture pop-in delay is noticeable, Dissapointing ending

Overall Evaluation: Seeing as how there are so many non-reviews on here I thought i'd write an actual review (from somone who owns all 3 consoles and has no console bias whatsoever) instead of all the useless stuff from fanboys and haters. Well it's been quite awhile since Halo 1 which I played for countless hours (always in co-op) with a friend. Sometimes we'd be attacking covenant forces and sometimes we'd be killing each other endlessly for fun. The good news is Halo 2 retains all of the greatness from the first and essentially adds more. Some of the more noteable new features is the removal of the health, increased action, a harder legendary mode, more multiplayer capabilities, more vehicles, ability to steal vehicles from opponents, and dual wielding, and new weapons (especially the sword). I can't say much for the multiplayer xbox live element since I do not have xbox live but I can imagine it adds a whole lot of value to the game. I am mainly a PC FPS player so I could never play a console FPS competitively unless it had keyboard and mouse. Anyway the main reason why I was looking forward to halo 2 is the co-op mode which was a total blast in halo 1. The good news is all the new additions to the game serve to make the co-op experience more fun than the original. I honestly believe that more first person shooters need to implement a co-op mode in thier games and is a seriously lacking feature in most FPS, especially in PC ones. As a stand alone game when not comparing to Halo 1, nothing about it except the dissapointing ending has degraded. The story development in the game has more character development than the first with looking at the war from both the human and elite (covenant) perspective. You spend about half the game playing as an elite covenant which is a nice change. However in both parts as master chief and as the elite you find yourself reliving some of the repetitive level gameplay that you experienced in halo 1. Given they have improved it signifigantly it still occurs and me and my friend found ourselves getting bored on occasions. If you own an Xbox and you liked the first halo I would definetly recommend it as a buy regardless of it's flaws. And if you havent played the first halo I recommend you rent this game to see how it sticks with you because I realize alot of people don't like first person shooters. I find however that many people tend to like halo 2 regardless of them not fully appreciating the genre. And even though the campaign experience is not totally fulfilling, the gameplay and balancing elements in the campaign (especially in co-op) make it the best Player VS Computer first person shooter games I have played. (tempted to call it single player but I guess co-op wouldnt fall under that ^_^) Breakdown: Graphics: 9 (got to take away some for the pop-in textures) Music: 9 (well placed) Control/Gameplay: 10 Length/Replay: 9 (If you don't have Xbox live i'd say 7-8)
