Overall Evaluation: this is another good game from the series. It is not my favorite but the action is the best in this one even though the story is a little weaker

Overall Rating: 3 Star Review
Duration of ownership:1 Years
Strengths: Runs better on the Gamecube console.
Weaknesses: The fact that it is a direct port with practically no enhancements, except for some very slight ones.
Overall Evaluation: RE3 is one of my favorite RE's of them all thanks to the constant action focus and the fact that you have a creature (Nemesis) which stalks you the entire game. Sadly, like with RE2, this is a direct port of the PSX version with some slight graphical enhancements thanks to the upgraded hardware. It's still fun to play, but Capcom should have given the fans a few extras with the release of both of these games. The PC version or DC version are still better than this one. The only thing that has changed is that the voice that says "Resident Evil" at the beginning is now the voice of the guy that says it in REmake and REØ. Still RE3 is one of my personal favorites in the RE series.

Strengths: One of the classic Resident Evil games
Weaknesses: Very expensive on the Cube, not updated even slightly
Overall Evaluation: Resident Evil 3 Nemesis is one of my favorite Resident Evil games... it features a sense of dread that goes beyond mere words, as you are constantly hunted by an unwavering relentless monster for nearly the entire game. It's not just out to scare you, it wants you dead.... makes for an experience that all fans of the genre will adore. The main 'problem' is that this is simply a port of the original Playstation game, and doesn't feature any real upgrades. It's also extremely expensive, as Capcom released the game in limited numbers at a whopping $40... consider it's just a port, that's very pricy. Still, it's worth every penny for fans of the genre.

Strengths: Survival Horror, gameplay, controls, characters
Weaknesses: Graphics are weak since it is a port
Overall Evaluation: Resident Evil 3 Nemesis for Gamcube is a port of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for Playstation. Therefore, the graphics are not the usual gamecube quality. However, the game is the same great game as the PSOne adventure. Running from Nemesis will still send chills up your spine. After playing Resident Evil 4, the controls need work, however they do a great job in this game. Overall, a good game, but I wish it was reworked like Resident Evil for gamecube.

Overall Rating: 3 Star Review
Duration of ownership:
Strengths: decent gameplay
Weaknesses: very straightforward, not really frightening
Overall Evaluation: This game is one of the weaker games in the series. After writing a review for RE4 (possibly the best) this game leaves much to be desired. The player will control Jill, from the first game. The plot unravels within the first hour of gameplay, with little progression. If the reader of this review is a fan, maybe the purchase can be justified. Otherwise, this game is a rental at best. The graphics of this game are very outdated, and the controls are awkward and difficult. I would recommend RE4 if you don't have it.

Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: Great story and a great addition to the franchise; allows new fans to appreciate the series through the Gamecube; adds a new element with the main enemy constantly stalking you
Weaknesses: poor controls and dated graphics
Overall Evaluation: This game is almost identical to PS1 version and still has the same weak control scheme, but it's still a must-own for the Gamecube if you llove the Resident Evil series and don't own RE3 in any other form. The graphics are outdated, but the story is as good as any suspense titles out there currently. The price is a little high for a duplicated PS1 game, and should rightly deter people who aren't huge fans. It's a shame that it didn't receive the same makeover that Resident Evil 1 did for the Gamecube.

Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: Storyline and characters
Weaknesses: Price!!! Outdated graphics and control scheme.
Overall Evaluation: This game is a port from the original Resident evil 3 for the playstation console. Aside from some minor graphical updates displayed from the more powerful gamecube system, this is exactly the same game for the playstation. That means that for a 2nd generation game, it exhibits 1st generation graphics, sound, and gameplay - average. Without detailing too much, the story follows Jill Valentine, and details the story 24 hours before Resident Evil 1 and 24 hours after Resident Evil 1. Overall, if you are a Resident Evil fan and the only means of playing this game is on the Gamecube (or if you find the game at a cheap price), then you should buy it. Otherwise, for the price, there are cheaper alternatives.

Duration of ownership:1 Weeks
Strengths: Gameplay
Weaknesses: Graphics
Overall Evaluation: Resident Evil 3 is a solid addition to the series. The graphics are a little weak since the game was ported from the original PS1 game. However, they have been cleaned up and are a lot sharper on the Gamecube and they don't detract from the experience. The sound is still as good as ever. Guns sound authentic while the ambience serves to scare you silly. As far as the gameplay -- awesome. The game features more action than previous entries, but still ratchets up the fear factor thanks to the Nemesis that chases you throughout the game. You never feel safe at any point in the game which truly makes this a successful survival horror game. Overall, fans of the genre will love this game.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Perfect portStill an excellent horror game
Weaknesses: Shows it's ageCould've ported from better source material
Overall Evaluation: Port of the Playstation version of the game. Game shows it's age, yet it's still quite a bit of fun to play. Dreamcast verison, released after the playstation one version, was a superior port. Capcom however, decided to port the psone version. Lots of unlockables, tons of incentive to replay the game over and over, first (and possibly) only RE game to feature a decision-making system, where on-the-spot decisions could affect the game. If you can find it cheap, get this game!

Overall Rating: 4 Star Review
Duration of ownership:3 Months
Strengths: Great storyline, great action, good sound effects and music
Weaknesses: PS1-class graphics, clunky controls, expensive
Overall Evaluation: Resident Evil 3: Nemesis started out as a PS1 title that was ported to the Gamecube. In the port, the graphics weren't upgraded at all, having the title look like the PS1 game it is. The controls haven't been improved either, being a little hard to maneuver on-screen at times. The storyline more than makes up for it, keeping a great deal of suspense moving throughout the storyline, and plenty of action to keep interest in the story all the way to the end. One routine issue is that the game is quite expensive for basically being a PS1 title. For fans of the Resident Evil series, it should be worth picking up to have the continuation of the series. The price should be kept in mind when picking up, though for true fans, this won't be an issue.
