Duration of ownership:3 Months
Strengths: Clarity, brand
Weaknesses: bass distortion, static while changing volume
Overall Evaluation: Background: I've been a Klipsch junkie for five years (RF-3IIs & accompanying matched set for home theater). So, I was prejudice to purchase Klipsch computer speakers.Overall the sound quality is good, what I would expect from Klipsch. Clarity on the highs is nice, but at the expense of full bass reproduction (what to expect from a 2-way system with no sub). For listening to music loud, you need to have the bass control turned down in order to keep the speakers from distorting. For a more "normal" listening volume the speakers are great with great sound reproduction.Only other annoyance is when adjusting volume on the speaker it creates static/crackling while turning the knob. The noise goes away once you have found your desired volume and stop adjusting the control.Hope this helps. Cheers...ACE

Strengths: They have great sound for their size and as an apartment dweller, it's hard to find decent speakers that do not have a subwoofer.
Weaknesses: They have an ongoing problem with the controller speaker not working.
Overall Evaluation: I have had these speakers for two years and really loved them until the controller speaker decided to no longer work. When I searched online about my problem, I found out I was not alone and it is customary for them to stop working once the warranty expires. Using contact cleaner helped fix the problem for a year, but one day, they completely died. They do have a great sound and I would recommend that aspect of them, but for the price they cost, I expect more longevity.

Strengths: Pretty good sound for a 2.0 system.
Weaknesses: No treble control (bass only). Distorts easily.
Overall Evaluation: I did a side by side comparison with the Creative Gigaworks T20 speakers because they are both approximately $100 2.0 speaker solutions. The Creative Labs were better. Better bass, less distortion at high levels. Also, the Creative Labs have a treble control, which is really helpful to bring out the highs.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Wonderful sound without using a lot of desktop space
Weaknesses: Pricey for a 2-way system
Overall Evaluation: These speakers sound great and do provide bass without the need for a subwoofer. Of course, a separate sub would provide really booming bass--but who needs it with a desktop PC unless you're totally into gaming? The other benefit is the space saving feature due to the lack of a separate subwoofer. A simple control knob on the front of the right speaker lets you easily adjust the volume and bass level or just turn it off.If you really need absolute great sound, go with Klipch's $400 5.1 Ultra ProMedia speakers. But if you need solid sound, go with these 2.0 speakers.

Strengths: Excellent speakers. Great sound.
Weaknesses: None.
Overall Evaluation: I have had these speakers for 3 weeks and I am very please with the quality of sound so far. The sound is very clear even at high volume. Bass is great, too. I had to tweak with my motherboard sound effect settings little bit to fix echo issue ("plain" sound effect worked out the best). Price may seem little high but definitely worth it.

Strengths: very good sound, no subwoofer, headphone port, alternate input port
Weaknesses: takes a second to start up after turning on
Overall Evaluation: I'm very impressed with these speakers. I had an old pair of $30 Altec Lansing ATP3 speakers (2.1). These Klipsch are much better and don't need a subwoofer to reproduce better sound. No subwoofer = less space. The towers are a bit big, but fit reasonably on a desk and the lack of a subwoofer more than makes up for it. I'm definitely very happy with them.

Strengths: Natural open-air sound with outstanding stereo imaging
Weaknesses: none
Overall Evaluation: I'm writing a review for these speakers because they are simply amazing. I was looking for high quality sound in my kitchen, something that would sound really good but take up minimal counter space, and nothing could be finer - I use these in conjunction with a portable player: CD/MP3/Radio. The bass is surprisingly strong and clean. The rest of the spectrum is superbly balanced and detailed. The ProMedia Ultra 2.0 are worthy of serious listening in smaller spaces and certainly worthy as a computer sound system.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: 15 amps/channel, deep bass for a 2.0 system
Weaknesses: needs A/C
Overall Evaluation: How many speakers do you need on your PC anyways? If you don't see the need for 7 speakers and a subwoofer on your PC then look no further. Klipsch has made quality stereo speakers for years, and it's no surprise that quality extends to their PC speaker line as well. The ProMedia 2.0 has a little amp built into the base of the speakers so you'll have to give them A/C.Very powerful sound is delivered thru these little towers of pwer. Each speaker has two woofers and a tweeter so you get surprisingly good bass out of these speakers. Definitely not the 'tinny' sound most compact speakers have.PC Mag tabbed the ProMedia 2.0 as one of their 'Best of the Year' items, which is a further testament to their quality.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Great sound quality, compact and portable (relatively)
Weaknesses: A little pricey
Overall Evaluation: Despite the lack of subwoofers, these pair of speakers pack some serious heat. The sound quality is fantastic, and bass is a whole lot more than what I expected from these things. They won't blow your windows out, but they will most certainly rattle your desk and head.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: -portable-best sounding 2.0 speaker on the market
Weaknesses: -expensive-a little weak on bass
Overall Evaluation: This set of speaker produces amazing sound at it's tiny size. This is ideal for use with laptops and mp3 players since you can actually carry it around if you need to.
