Overall Rating: 5 Star Review
Duration of ownership:1 Months
Strengths: Amazing value, great performance, excellent build quality, beautiful screen.
Weaknesses: Bloatware and many useless ASUS utilities installed from factory, which bog down performance (75 processes running on first boot-up).
Overall Evaluation: For anyone looking for a good all-around notebook, the ASUS M50Vm-B1 is hard to beat. With outstanding performance from the new Centrino 2 platform, it is perfect for watching DVDs, listening/storing music, and moderate 3D game playing. Add in the 2-year warranty and free 1-year accidental damage policy and you have a great package. Also, ASUS includes some nice extras in the package - a free mini-mouse, nylon carrying case, Vista re-install CD and a CD with all the drivers on it. And a full owners manual - none of that PDF online stuff! Newegg.com usually has the best prices on this notebook and that's where I bought mine. Highly recommended.
