    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Compact size. Above average printing

Weaknesses: None for this price range

Overall Evaluation: Great for the home office user that needs color copies (not photo copy quality), fax capability, printing, copying, and scanning. Trouble free unit. Should have been a flatbed which would make things much easier..

    Duration of ownership:60 Days

Strengths: Compact size, small footprint, sheetfed

Weaknesses: Control Panel is not back-lit; frequent paperfeed jams from both copy/fax input tray and plain paper tray; will only print on expensive matte ink-jet paper (or hig-end laser paper).

Overall Evaluation: The first unit I had to return because it began printing vertical lines on all copies (which seemed to get worse with each printout). The replacement unit copies nicely, but it eats my originals on the left side. The first unit was tempermental about this too - where it would often grab 2-3 pages at a time when faxing multiple pages, but the replacement unit actually eats & distroys the originals. When making copies or printing out a fax report, both units will only seem to accept high-end, expensive paper - they grab several pages at a time causing a jam when using inexpensive multipurpose or ink jet paper. I returned the second unit today & was prepared to go with a different manufacturer (even though I have had great luck with other HP printers), but the Office Depot mgr. talked me into trying the new replacement model (4115). He said he usually doesn't get these back -- maybe it's just my luck that I got two lemons. I'll post an update on the newest model soon....

Strengths: Very very compact for 4-in-1

    Weaknesses: Noisy , Sheetfed

Overall Evaluation: Excellent, compact 4-in-1 from HP for people short on table space and for people on travel. You have the same excellent performance and ink economy per page from HP. ONe might find it little noisy sometimes but output qualitywise its unbeatable.

Strengths: Small and compact, handsome, easy to to begin using with easy instructions

Weaknesses: Little noisier than expected but still less noisier than other all in one machines

Overall Evaluation: I looked at several models and this was the most compact and the fastest at making copies. It fits nicely in a small spot and its nice that it can make black and white and color copies.

    Duration of ownership:5 Days

Strengths: Compact size, good print quality in B&W and color, multifunctional "all-in-one", pretty easy setup.

Weaknesses: Minor complaints - no USB cable included, USB only, replacement cartridges may be a little pricey but then most inkjets are.

Overall Evaluation: Nice small package, fits into home office setting where space is a premium. Print, copy, fax, quality overall is good, although I haven't tried printing on photo stock (photos on plain paper are quite good). Haven't tried scanning yet. One other minor complaints in addtion to those listed above is that print/fax/copy output doesn't have a separate tray, i.e., it dumps out onto the blank sheet feed tray. They could easily have added another piece of cheap plastic to catch the output sheets. I did have to install the drivers/software twice but I think that was more a problem with my computer (running Windows ME and a nearly full hard drive) than the driver or software. Overall an excellent product.

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:15 Days

Strengths: Compact, comes with MAC & PC s/w, good set-up wizard, 110V/220 V power, good printing

Weaknesses: Noisier than expected. Can be slow to start printing. No USB cable.

Overall Evaluation: My requirements were an all-in-one for light duty in my home office that was inexpensive, came with MAC s/w, and could be used as an all purpose printer. The HP OfficeJet 4110 has met all those needs. Out of the box the most impressive aspect was the set-up wizard that had me up and running in a few minutes. It even anticipated the scenario for using the machine for outgoing faxes and the connected computer for incoming and outgoing faxing directly via its own modem. The unit is much more compact than the older OfficeJet V40xi which I use in the office and which has similar specs but did not come with MAC s/w. On the downside the 4110 is quite noisy whereas the V40xi is almost silent in operation. The noise almost sounds like the unit is tearing the paper at times, but so far the operation has been more or less flawless. You do need to be careful with paper loading to avoid jams - the instructions also warn about this. However once you get used to it there are no problems. I have used the printing and faxing options and both work well. Printing of envelopes works well also. Printing a color document with graphics or pictures from a MAC seems to have a longer processing delay than I would have expected, but the actual printing is quite fast once it starts. A surprise was that no USB cable was bundled, but these are easily purchased separately for a few $ on-line from the cable specialists. (Avoid pricey retail cables!) Overall I am very pleased.

    Strengths: Outstanding HP product.

Weaknesses: None that I can see, it is well designed--handsome, actually.

Overall Evaluation: As with HP products, alot went into the design, this is a great example of a low profile desk item that is quiet (for a change). The color print that I got was better than the photograph itself.I have a feeling that I am not taking advantage of all the bells and whistles, but you know me !!In time, I will read the instructions ! This is a very fine all in one for the money--I recommend it. Recommend Pricegrabber for finding me the best value.Company I got printer from responded instantly email, and the box got here in great shape, in good time.
