  Strengths: 1080P faroudja upconvertor.Fenomenal sound reproduction.Connectivity.Quality.

  Weaknesses: Controls not behind door like the sc-05 model. Otherwise NONE! :o)

  Overall Evaluation: Best Receiver ever made! It support everything you can imagine. Deep colour, v1.3, XV color, etc...I love the upconvertor, unlike some cheaper model upconvertors this receiver upconverts video like no other!The detail I'm getting from all my 480i en 480p connections is truly amazing. Crisp and sharp. I have my older dvd/hd recorder connected and my 480i sattelite receiver both with excellent results.The sound is crystal clear, and yes you can hear a difference from the older or lower end models. (Which I myself did not believe either until I heard the difference compared to my old (2004) receiver.) The receiver has features and features that you will learn to appreciate the longer you have the receiver. I have it hooked up to seven klipsch 300w speakers and a klipsch subwoofer. For the audio cable I used honeywell 14/2 genesis crystal series speaker wire. This just as an fyi.I am truly satisfied with the quality, clarity and features of this PIONEER ELITE RECEIVER. It gets a 9.99/10!
