    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: No memory effect.Accurate power.Outperforms generic!

    Weaknesses: None... maybe the cost compared to generic battery.

    Overall Evaluation: I'm very happy I bought an original HITACHI brand replacement battery. It's actually for use as a second battery. The original Hitachi battery is made in Japan, and is performing quality all around. Charges well, and performs steady, my experience with generic was that appart from breaking much quicker, the battery could not stand cold or extreme heat. This battery seems to work well. I had it overnight in the freezer as a little experiment installed it, and sure thing the camera worked without a problem :o) Well anyway, in a nutshell, the battery "might" be a little more expensive than a generic brand, but you'll be glad you bought the original equipment! It's worth it. Battery scores A+++ all around :o)
