Overall Rating: 5 Star Review
Duration of ownership:1
Strengths: multiple functionsversatileeasy to usetext to speech after updatewaterproof
Weaknesses: should have a case, data and ac charger, but I guess like injet ink, they want to make some more $
Overall Evaluation: this is my first gps so I am no expert and still learning the ropes. Worked fine out of the box and is fairly intuitive and easy to set up. I used a USB cable from my WD Passport drive which worked fine to register, update to rev 3.40 so I now have text to speech. I particularly wanted the compass and elevation. I'm not sure about how to best use the compass, but the elevation works pretty well when the accuracy says 15fett or better. There are a lot of trees and it's mountanous near my home, so it can vary, but initially it was withing a few feet of what the topo map says. When the signal is poorer, it can be off 50 feet or more. All in all, I'm pleased and looking forward to taking it out on the road. This is my second order from Provantage, and once again extra fast shipping and service at a great price.
