    Duration of ownership:45 Days

    Strengths: Printing fast on color

Weaknesses: The Cartiage tone are too expense. Probably you a new instead

Overall Evaluation: For the price that I purchased from Office Depot is unbeatable Price $260. No other HP color laser jet have this price. The printing result isn't bad. Build in nic is another good things about this printer. You don't need to buy another ethernet to hood up into network. For home or light printing job is fine. Not a good printer to print huge of printing.

    Strengths: Price and setup

    Weaknesses:

Overall Evaluation: It took me 30 minutes to hook it up to my network and access it from one wired PC and two wireless PC's. Very easy to use, set up and works great. Not a high resolution graphics printer but a great color general use printer.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Relatively Small and compact. Network Ready. Simple setup.

    Weaknesses: None.

Overall Evaluation: I have just been using this for a few days, but I am very impressed with the ease of set up and compact size of the HP Color LaserJet 2600n. I also have an HP 4600 and the 2600n is much smaller. I like the fact that this one has network capability built in and is LAN ready. This eliminated the need for a print server to connect it to my home network. The 4 different toner cartridges are easy to access and replace. I did notice that the toner cartridges are relatively smaller than the ones in my 4600, so I am wondering if I should expect fewer pages out of them - I gess time will tell on that. Overall: Relatively Small and compact. Network Ready. Simple setup.

    Strengths: One-pass mechanismFast color prints

    Weaknesses: Relatively slow B/W prints

Overall Evaluation: This printer is great for color prints. It's one-pass mechanism allows for a relatively fast 8PPM color prints. Unfortunately, that same one-pass mechanism slows the B+W printing down to the same 8PPM, a slow speed by today's standards.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Low price, only four consumables to replace, toner cartridges come full.

Weaknesses: Only 8ppm for black printing. Only 16MB RAM (not expandable).

Overall Evaluation: So far, this printer is doing great. Set up took a little longer than expected, but was completed within an hour. Prints look sharp and colors vibrant. For a home or small office, this printer should be great, but would not be appropriate for high volume printing.

    Duration of ownership:4 Weeks

Strengths: price, design, network card included, excellant B&W print quality

Weaknesses: software a bit glitchy, some prints come out a bit hazed, quite expensive to replace toners, need to override the toner count or will waste toner

Overall Evaluation: The machine counter for how much toner is left is flawed because will reduce the number down regardless of which color is used. When the toner quantity meter reaches zero it says time to replace the toner, except there is still plenty of toner usually. To avoid this waste you must manually turn on the over-ride.I was very pleased with all B&W printing (charts and texted), but the color prints were sometimes a bit off from the colors on the monitor. Overall I was pleased considering the cost ($299 from OfficeMax), but I had problems with the printer drivers. The print drivers have frozen up on me a few times. I spent literally 2 hours trying to reach tech support a couple days ago. Tech support is then routed to some foreign country and of course I could not understand the girl and I felt bad to tell her I need someone else because it was taking forever to assist me because of the language barrier. I did get fed up and after having the machine for only 4 weeks I did return it (luckily OfficeMax was eager to please by accepting the model back).I was using the machine for my home office, At my work office I have been using a 3000cn from Dell. This machine is something to check out. Why I didn't get another for my house was just dumb (I was trying to save a measly $50). And their tech support can't be beat and is easily reached plus the toners are a hell of alot cheaper (black is about $20 less and rated for 4000 prints compared to 2500 with 2600n)(color toners are about the same cost but rated for 4000 prints compared to 2000 with the 2600n).

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths:

Weaknesses: It is NOT a network printer

Overall Evaluation: If you need a regular printer connected to PC DO NOT buy 2600n and pay extra $100 for the letter "n" at the end. Buy regular HP2600, connect it to your USB (or parallel?) port and be happy. Your COMPUTER may be networked and in this case you may send print jobs to the COMPUTER regular way. If you need a network printer, (that means that you can connect it to the network and use it) DO NOT buy 2600n, because it is NOT a network printer and needs a host Windows computer (server, in common language) and local drivers to process request. By simple words: you cannot print from your network directly, you should install special Windows driver on EVERY computer which you want to print from. So, you cannot print from non-Windows computer.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Fast color printout, professional business quality text and business graphics, included FULL capacity cartridges, easy to maintain, and reliable. Excellent value.

Weaknesses: Slow black & white printout, expensive replacement catridges, average photo quality.

Overall Evaluation: This printer uses the "one-pass" engine design, whereby color comes out at the same speed as black/white only docs. If you print any color in your documents, this printer is a benchmark choice.I agree with previous reviewers that this printer plus a cheap inkjet (for photos only) is the most cost-effective acquisition you can make.If you need to print-out reams of black/white only docs, then you should go for a monochrome or 4-pass type color laser instead.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Fast color prints, warms up very quickly, built-in networking, excellent color output for business usage

Weaknesses: Doesn't print photos very well. Although it really isn't designed to, and most color lasers print photos poorly.

Overall Evaluation: I bought this printer to print promotional materials for my business and I have been very happy. Sure it isn't the greatest printer for a big business, or for personal photo printing, but it is great at what it was designed for. It is excellent for smaller business that want to print color, but not buy ink everyday. The built-in networking is also a great feature not usually found at this price point. On a related note, I recommend the Hammermill OfficeOne Business Gloss paper for this printer. It is an excellent combination for promotional materials. The color looks great on it, and it is much cheaper than regular gloss.

    Duration of ownership:6 Weeks

    Strengths: Solid quality laser color.

    Weaknesses: None.

Overall Evaluation: So far this has proven a solid 5 star purchase. I use this for home/home office. The quality is very good and the speed is absolutely fine for my needs. If you are running a business where you print a high volume, or very fast speed is important - get a higher model like the 5350n.If you expect to print photos - supplement with a separate photo printer for $100. It makes more sense than spending $2000 for a high end laser. Any mid range laser is not going to produce photos you are happy with.
