Navigating Photos in 3D with Photosynth

Photosynth is a program that can take a large collection of photos of a place or an object, analyze them for similarities, and then display the photos in a reconstructed 3D space. Once this collection, or "synth" has been created, you can navigate through a scene to see photos from multiple angles. The program also features collaborative tools, so you can comment on synths, as well as share them and add geotags. Senior Associate Editor Danny Allen takes a look.
