Interactive CG Characters on Your Desktop

Geisha Tokyo Entertainment develops a system for interacting with computer-generated (CG) characters on your desktop. The system involves a Webcam that recognizes a 2D barcode on a small cube: when it recognizes the cube, a CG-character that you can interact with appears on screen. The company, staffed by graduates of the University of Tokyo, is using this system as a first step before it goes on to tackle bigger entertainment projects using augmented reality.
