iPhone 3G Launch Starts in Sydney and Tokyo

As Thursday turned to Friday, shoppers in Sydney were among the first in the world to pick up the new iPhone 3G during a midnight event at a local Optus store. In Tokyo, more than 1,000 people lined up at the Harajuku outlet of Softbank to be among the first in the country to get their hands on the phone when sales began at 7 a.m.
