Vista's Sidebar, missing in recent builds, contains several stock gadgets (from top to bottom): an RSS feed reader, a slide show, a clock, and a quick program launcher. Not shown: a gadget version of the Recycle Bin. All of these gadgets are docked in the sidebar in this screen. You can make the sidebar disappear and reappear by double-clicking the little gear icon in the system tray.
