Users of the Sonos wireless music system have another music service to tap into after installing a new software update. Sonos and the grassroots music service Pandora have partnered to offer users direct access to the service through the Sonos interface.

With the service, users can create and play up to 100 radio stations based on their favorite songs or artists. You can also rate the music on the stations using the Sonos remote.

Pandora's Music Genome Project, Pandora's trained musicians analyze songs, one at a time, using close to 400 musical traits including melody, harmony, instrumentation, rhythm, vocals, lyrics, and more to automatically build a station with songs that share interesting musical similarities.

You can listen to different channels in different rooms -- Sonos can simultaneously stream 32 different Pandora radio stations to 32 different rooms.

Starting today, new and current Sonos customers can listen to Pandora for free with a 30-day trial. Following the free trial, Sonos customers can continue their Pandora service for $36 annually.
