In an effort to bolster sales of the widely popular Wii, some Filipino pirates are selling GameCube games dressed up as Wii games to unsuspecting players not familiar with Nintendo's fourth-generation home console.

Filipino website GameOPS found games like Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker copied onto DVD discs and repackaged as Wii games.

Copyright pirates have also been known to do the same for b-movies being released as legitimate sequels such as Anaconda 4 and Breakfast Club 3 according to tongue-in-cheek Wii Fanboy.
