Parliant has announced CurbTalker, a new telephony product for Mac OS X designed especially for realtors. CurbTalker costs US$895, and doesn't require a monthly fee to operate.

CurbTalker is an audio listing service that answers calls from prospects, delivers property information and transfers potential buyers to your cellphone or takes a message. It combines hardware and software you install on your Mac to turn your Mac into an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) hotline.

CurbTalker will track the ads callers respond to and create per-property and brokerage-wide reports in color. All calls are logged.

CurbTalker can also integrate with PhoneValet, Parliant's cornerstone telephony software that provides automated attendant, voice mail recording, dialing and logging capabilities.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later, an available USB port and a Parliant USB telephone adapter, analog phone line or VoIP line that works with regular phones, Caller ID and call transfer service.
