Marketcircle has introduced Billings 3.0, a major upgrade to its time and expense billing software for Mac OS X. Billings costs US$59; upgrades from 2.x cost $35. A 21-day trial version is available for download.

Billing helps you bill clients for your time -- the software helps you track the time you spend on a project and the expenses you incur. You can also use Billings to generate professional-looking invoices, gather client information, send statements and more.

New to the version 3 release is a streamlined user interface with features like client groups and a new chronological accounts view with inline preview. You get instant overdue invoice notification, consolidated and recurring invoices, 30 templates, easier time and expense tracking, and 17 new business reports.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later.
