File this under today's "not fair" column: Resident Evil 5 demo for Japanese Xbox 360 owners coming in less than 10 days. IGN has the scoop by way of Japanese magazine Famitsu, to whom Capcom apparently passed the news. According to IGN, the demo will include two stages set in "familiar urban settings from past game show demos." Not familiar to anyone who didn't attend those game shows, which would be a majority of gamers, actually.

The demo will have offline and co-op play, but it'll only be available to Xbox Live Gold (paying) members. No mention of a PS3 version, and IGN speculates it's another Xbox timed exclusive.

When's the U.S. demo coming? No idea, and no official word from Capcom just yet. There will be one, but where it slots between now and the game's official March 13, 2009 release date (Friday the 13th, if it matters) is anyone's guess.
