Monkey Jewels is a color-matching game similar to Bejeweled. It costs $0.99. Race against the clock to match three or more gems, and the longer you go, the faster you have to match them.
A brickbashing game with its roots on the Amiga and Atari ST home computers, Krypton Egg has been resurrected for the iPhone and iPod touch. It's priced at 99 cents.
Wild West Guns
Gameloft's Wild West Guns is a $4.99 arcade shooter similar to the old arcade rifle games. It features 18 challenges with numerous targets and enemies to shoot, weapons exclusive to the iPhone version (the game started out on the Wii), and five different game modes.
Cronk has been updated to 1.1. This variation on "match three" puzzle play (a la Zuma) features a caveman and boulders. The update features basic gameplay improvements, new difficulty modes and other changes. Cronk costs $4.99.
Jack or 100 Ways to Barbeque
Jack or 100 Ways to Barbeque is a $1.99 2D platform action game in which you have to find the exit of each level. Jack must find his way through a maze of secret corridors, while avoiding baddies like serpents and flames.
Mafia: Respect and Retaliation
SGN has released Mafia: Respect and retaliation, a social networking game in which you work your way up the mob ladder from street thug to powerful don. Construct bars, restaurants and casinos -- recommended for fans of Mafia Wars and similar games. Free.
Mind Nimmer places you in an escape pod in space. The computer is rude, self-centered and insulting, so you have to beat it to put it in its place. The game itself is based on an ancient Chinese puzzle game. It's priced at $2.99.
You might have heard of Ngmoco's hit iPhone game Rolando, but if you're still reluctant to spend money to try it, you're in luck. The company has released Rolando Lite, a free version that gives you a taste of the gameplay.
Mafia Boss 1.4
JL Software has released Mafia Boss 1.4, a new version if its popular Mafia game tracking application. The new release lets you e-mail summaries of the current game status. This tracker is for fans of Mafia who want to keep track of what's happening on their iPhone or iPod touch. It costs $3.99.
Wooden Labyrinth 3D
Wooden Labyrinth 3D is another maze game in which you must navigate a metal ball through a wooden maze filled with holes that you must avoid. It's priced at $2.99.
Squires Studios has released a free version of their video puzzle game for the iPhone, Fliparoni Lite. You must assemble a moving video clip by flipping and rotating pieces.
