Aquafadas has announced the release of PulpMotion 2.1, a new version of their custom slideshow creation software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, PulpMotion comes in standard and Advanced versions for US$50 and $90 respectively.
PulpMotion lets you create slideshow animations using your own pictures, video and music, and can be exported as QuickTime movies or published as still image galleries on the Web. The Advanced version adds a "story telling" theme, audio commentary and audio/media sync, the ability to create and edit zones of interest, support for Aperture and Lightroom, fine setting control for Motion Blur and more.
The new 2.1 version integrates with Apple's recently released iLife '09 software suite. It takes advantage of the new "Faces" feature in iPhoto, enabling you to turn Faces into "zones of interest" and animating them in theme-specific ways.
A new version of an existing theme has also been added -- Slideshow 3D '09. What's more, support for Adobe Lightroom 2 has been improved and speed and memory improvements have also been made.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, G4/1GHz or faster (including Intel), 512MB RAM, Quartz Extreme-capable graphics and Internet connection for registration.
