Hewlett-Packard, the world's largest PC vendor, expanded its partnership with Hon Hai Precision Industries by announcing a new US$60 million joint venture PC factory in Turkey.

Hon Hai, the biggest contract electronics maker in the world, will produce PCs designed by HP at the factory, and HP will sell them in Turkey, the two companies said in a statement.

The agreement extends a partnership between the companies to work together in emerging markets.

Last year, HP and Hon Hai announced a US$50 million investment in Russia to build PCs for the market there.
