Asus has revealed it will phase out the 7in version of its hugely successful Eee PC netbook.
Rumours have been rife over the past few months that the company was planning to pull the plug on its smallest netbook in a bid to conentrate on the more popular 10in version.

Asus chairman Jonney Shih told Zdnet: "The seven-inch is going to be phased out, although some emerging countries may still have some demand."
"I still believe we have a good opportunity in 8.9in for kids, telecoms or emerging markets," he added, indicating the 8.9in version won't suffer the same fate.
