Hot on the tail of his Oscar nominated work in "The Wrestler", Mickey Rourke has been tapped to play the real-life Navy SEAL and SEAL Team 6 founder Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko in Bethesda Softworks Rogue Warrior: Black Razor.

"Mickey Rourke was our first choice to play Marcinko in Rogue Warrior," said Todd Vaughn, Executive Producer of Rogue Warrior. "He absolutely, one-hundred percent captures Marcinko's raw and gritty personality."

Rogue Warrior: Black Razor is based on a series of New York Times bestselling novels penned by Richard Marcinko, all of which have been loosely based on his own military experiences. In the game, you are sent on a secret operation in North Korea that soon goes wrong when you uncover a conspiracy involving a new technology that could change the balance of geopolitical power.

Rogue Warrior: Black Razor will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2009.

For more information on the game check out Bethesda's Official Website.
