Fireworks users who had to cope with assorted bugs--most notably one involving text shifting--can breathe a sigh of relief. Adobe has come out with an update for its vector and bitmap graphics editor that the company says will fix the most common bugs in the CS4 version of Fireworks.

According to Adobe's release notes, Fireworks CS4 10.0.3 Updater delivers improved stability for both Mac and Windows versions of the application. The update also tackles a bug that caused text to shift. Also, Adobe says its fixed several bugs that occurred when copying and pasting text from Microsoft Office into Fireworks.

The May 6 update should now be available via Adobe Update Manager. You can also download the 46.6MB update from Adobe's Web site, which features full release notes for the 10.0.3 update.
