The mobile smart phone, named HTC Magic, features a 3.2-inch half-size video graphics array (better known as HVGA) touch screen display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution, a trackball for navigation, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, and global positioning system (better known as GPS).
The 113mm x 55.56mm x 13.65mm device weighs 116 grammes inclusive of battery, and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7200A, 528 MHz processor with 288 MB of RAM.
Applications
Standard Google applications are included with the HTC Magic, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google's search engine and Google Talk.
In addition to Gmail, users can also choose POP3, IMAP and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, for e-mail. The Quickoffice mobile productivity suite and PDF viewer are also included with the HTC Magic, for documents to be viewed and edited.
Users of the device can also obtain applications from the Android Market, an online application store operated by Google.
Availability
The HTC Magic will be sold at a retail price of S$1,049 . The smart phone is expected to be launched in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam by the end of June.
