Lenovo laptops are known for many things, but usually not for bargain-basement prices. Right now, however, you can get the Lenovo IdeaPad Y430 laptop for $549 with free shipping. That's an instant savings of $150 off the usual price. And if you use the coupon code "USPY430SALE" on or before May 20, that price drops all the way to $399. It's a good deal on a well-equipped notebook, one that includes a 2.16GHz Intel dual-core T3400 Pentium processor, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a dual-layer DVD burner, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, a 14-inch-diagonal screen, and Windows Vista Home Premium.

You don't have to bust your budget to get a good photo printer. Take Canon's iP3600 Inkjet Photo Printer, for example. You'd normally pay around $80 for this model, but now you can get it for $55 from NewEgg.com. And when you use the promo code "EMCLSMX78" at checkout, the price goes down to $45. We haven't reviewed this model, but we were impressed with its sibling, the Pixma iP4600, which currently ranks third on our chart of the best inkjet printers.

You can't get a 42-inch HDTV for less than $500, can you? You can, if it's the LG 42PM4M HD-Capable Plasma Display, now available from PCConnection.com for a hair under $500. It supports 720p and 1080p content, and has an array of inputs, including HDMI. We haven't reviewed this model, but LG's TVs have impressed us in the past; a sibling, the LG 42LG60, is fourth on our chart of the best 40- and 42-inch HDTVs.

Magellan makes top-notch portable GPS devices, but that doesn't mean you have to pay top price for them. Right now, for example, you can get the Magellan RoadMate 1430 for $159 from Amazon.com. You'd usually pay between $220 and $300 for it. We haven't reviewed this particular portable GPS, but Magellan's products have scored well in our reviews; the Maestro 4350, for example, delivered some of the best routes of any GPS we tested for a recent roundup.

Is it time to upgrade that old camcorder to a newer HD model? Then you should check out this deal: Amazon.com is offering the JVC Everio GZ-HD10 AVCHD High Definition Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom for $418. That's almost half off the list price of $800. It includes a 40GB hard drive (for storing up to 16 hours of HD video), yet is designed to be compact and comfortable to hold. We haven't reviewed this model, but its sibling, the Everio GZ-HD40, currently holds the fifth spot on our chart of the best HD camcorders.
