Mireth Technology announced Thursday an update to NetShred X, its Internet "track eraser" for Mac OS X. Version 4.3 costs $25, and the upgrade is free for registered version 4 users.
NetShred X erases temporary files that Web browsers and e-mail client software leave behind. It runs in the background, so it doesn't interfere with other operations. It also deletes the files in such a way to make recovery impossible, according to the developer.
New to this release is support for Safari 4, which Apple released in final form last week. NetShred X has also been updated with support for Camino 1.6.7 and Flock.
System requirements call for Mac OS X.
