The Best Tech Deals of the Week

We'll show you where to find the best prices on an HP netbook, a BlackBerry smartphone, and a Kodak pocket video camera.

HP Mini 110

Usually $300 won't buy you much, but it will buy you an HP Mini 110 Netbook from Office Depot with 1GB of memory, a 1.6GHz Atom processor, a 10.1-inch display, a 16GB solid-state drive, and Windows XP preinstalled. We weren't a huge fan of the touchpad or the speakers in our hands-on look at the Mini 110, but the almost-full-size keyboard and the decent software suite make it a solid deal for a netbook.

RIM BlackBerry 8703E (Verizon Wireless) is offering a RIM Blackberry 8703E for Verizon Wireless for only $75, in case you're looking to upgrade to a smartphone but your budget can't handle contract-termination fees or paying full price for a brand-new model. In our review we found that the BlackBerry 8703E is a business phone first and foremost; and considering that it normally retails for about $230, this handset might be just what your business needs.

Samsung SL820 12-Megapixel Camera

The Samsung SL820 is a 12-megapixel point-and-shoot camera that packs a photographic punch, and at $200 from (originally $279), it won't lay waste to your wallet. Of particular note are its 5X optical zoom, its optical and digital image stabilization, and its 720p video-recording functions. Read the product announcement for more drool-inducing details.

Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera

Would-be YouTube celebrities, listen up: Best Buy has the Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera, normally $160, on sale for $100 with free shipping once you add it to your cart--not bad for a pocket camcorder that can do HD video recording and snap still shots. Check out our review of the Zi6, complete with a side-by-side comparison of the Zi6 and the Pure Digital Flip Mino HD, to see if it's for you.

HP Pavilion HDX 18t

The HP Home and Home Office Store has the HP Pavilion HDX 18t desktop replacement laptop for $900, which gets you a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an 18.4-inch 1080p display, 4GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, an nVidia 9600M GT discrete graphics card, and a Blu-ray player/dual-layer DVD burner. Configure the 18t on the company's Web site and toss in coupon code NBN3248 to bring it down from the $1200 standard retail price to $900. We reviewed a similar model, the HDX 18, with a faster processor (2.8GHz Core 2 Duo) and more hard-drive space (two 320GB drives); take a look if you're on the fence.
