I've always hated the idea of putting stickers on my Mac. To me, it took away from the clean, polished look of the laptops--I liked the white finish of my original iBook G3, and moreover, I liked the Apple logo. I was certainly much happier showing that off to the world than a sticker from a band or a pop culture reference I would probably forget about in a few years. However, with his laptop and iPhone decals, Etsy designer MovieMagicMan may have just changed my mind on the matter.
There are two great things about these stickers. First, they conform perfectly to the style of your Mac. They incorporate the logo rather than just covering it up (one of his most striking decals is an all black silhouette of Snow White cupping the trademark Apple).
Furthermore, the images are simple and distinct, most using just one color--black or white--to encapsulate the design. The stickers range from iconic superheroes like Batman and Iron Man to the aforementioned Disney characters, with movie, geek, and musical references hiding in-between. With over 40 designs currently in stock and more on the way, there's a good chance you'll find a design that will fit you and your laptop just right.
I know I'm certainly tempted, despite my long-held aversion to stickerdom. The prices are fair (ranging from $10 to $20), and MovieMagicMan even has a button for requesting custom items if you don't find anything in his current inventory that tickles your fancy.
In any case, if you're looking for something to make your Mac stand out from the crowd without taking away its identity, take a look around his store. Even if you don't find anything, you'll be amazed at how many different designs he's incorporated the Apple logo into.
