Deals of the Week

This week's bargain lineup includes a Vizio HDTV/Blu-ray bundle, a Nintendo Wii with a free game, a high-definition Optoma projector, and more.

Dell Home Coupon: 25 Percent Off

This week, Dell has a special coupon offer on selected laptops and desktops. Enter the coupon code "?$QNC1?HSKNR9F" at checkout to watch the price drop by 25 percent.

One featured computer that this deal covers is the Dell Studio One 19 all-in-one desktop (pictured), priced at $728 before the coupon. This sleek machine features an LDC touchscreen with a built-in Webcam and comes with a 320GB, 7200-rpm SATA hard drive. It also features an Intel dual-core Pentium E5300 processor.

Nintendo Wii Plus Bonus Game, $200

Amazon currently sells the Nintendo Wii for $200--which isn't the cheapest deal if you're looking for the console alone. However, for a limited time Amazon will include a free bonus game with purchase of a Wii. Customers can make a choice of Wii Sports Resort, Wii Play with an additional Wii remote, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, or Endless Ocean: Blue World. These games retail for $30 to $50 separately.

The Wii console comes with one Wii remote and Wii Sports, so this deal completes the Wii starter pack with one additional game.

Vizio SV421XVT 42-Inch LCD TV With Blu-ray Player, $849

Looking for a starter home theater system? Begin with the basics--an HDTV and a Blu-ray player. Dell has a great bundle on sale--a 42-inch Vizio SV421XVT LDC HDTV and a VBR100 Blu-ray player for $849. The TV alone usually retails for around $900.

The Vizio SV421XVT had good overall performance in our PCWorld Lab tests. We really liked its sleek remote control and multimedia playback capabilities from USB drives. Images may be marred by digital artifacts and the color might look inaccurate at times, but the set's 240Hz refresh rate handles motion very well.

Western Digital My Book Essential 2TB External Hard Drive, $150

Because downloading television shows, movies, and music is now such a breeze, hard drive space often becomes an issue. Investing in a drive with substantial space, like this 2TB Western Digital My Book Essential, will allow you to back up your entire computer (and even more). BuyDigg has it on sale for $150 with free shipping.

This drive comes equipped with FireWire 400, FireWire 800, eSATA, and USB 2.0.

Optoma HD73 Home Theater Projector, $565

If you're thinking about enhancing your home multimedia center with a projector, then check out the Optoma HD73 Widescreen Digital DLP Projector. Amazon has it on sale for $565--a huge price drop from its original tag of $1300.

This Mac/PC-compatible projector features 720p high-def resolution with 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios, and it comes with a full range of video connections--HDMI, DI, component, S-Video, and composite.
