Lego Stephen Hawking is a geek’s dream stocking stuffer

Iain Heath

Struggling to find something for the geek in your life that has everything, or don’t know what to ask for? Check out the amazing Lego homage to Stephen Hawking, who will fit in perfectly with all your Lego space sets.

The custom figure is by Iain Heath of The Standard Model, who first came up with the idea to build a toy Stephen Hawking six years ago. Though really, which science figure would be better to build? Finally, the sets are available, and come with all the pieces and instructions in the box, ready for you to build.

While it’s a small project with just a handful of bricks, The Brothers Brick notes that it’s not the easiest set to build—there are a lot of one-stud parts clipped together at odd angles, so it's definitely a “big kid” toy.

My favorite part is possibly Hawking’s face, especially the angle of his head and the little transparent studs for eyes with glasses. If you like the $40 set, though, snap one up quick because Iain only made 100 to sell.
