Bandai/Google Play

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! What better way to spend this romantic holiday than checking out geeky stories from around the web? Exactly—there is no better way!

One paper purports to have scientific proof that Sasquatch is real [DeNovo Journal]

Okay, this could very well be some ridiculous hoax by some individuals with far too much time on their hands, but for the sake of the story, let’s just assume that this paper in the first issue of the DeNovo Scientific Journal definitively proves that the elusive Sasquatch is real. You can either pay $30 to examine the evidence yourself, or just take a look at Ars Technica’s coverage of the journal, which helps to clarify this scientific paper. [via Ars Technica]

Tamagotchi brought back to life on Android devices [Google Play]

If, like me, you are without a valentine today , Bandai may have a virtual solution for you. The beloved toy company has resurrected the classic pet simulation on Google Play as Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. (Love Is Fun Everywhere). It’s got new creatures, it’s in color, and best of all, it’s totally free! [via Engadget]

This could be the next PlayStation controller [Destructoid]

It is now less than a week until Sony allows us to “see the future” of PlayStation, but Destructoid has gotten its hands on an image of what appears to be the controller for the new console a little early. So far, there has been no confirmation of whether this is the official controller or even a prototype, but on February 20th, the console and its controller will likely be on display anyway. Stay tuned.
