Ermahgerd! It’s a veritable field day for HTC One news! But that’s enough self-promotion for one day, because there’s more news in the world. These incredible photos of the sun weren't taken by a satellite, astronaut, or anything in space. Nope, they come by way of a Buffalo, New York resident named Alan Friedman who used an industrial-grade webcam hooked up to a telescope in his backyard. Alan says all it takes is a particularly expensive Hydrogen Alpha filter and a lot of patience because you end up taking thousands of pictures of the sun just for one good final image.

It’s made an appearance in the “definitively best” Star Wars movie The Empire Strikes Back, a ton of books, and just about every Star Wars game ever created. Now, one man named Barry has completed an incredible 140-square-foot, room-sized recreation of the battle of Hoth, complete with AT-ATs, shield generators, and Vader choking Luke (not canon).
When Harlem Shake videos go from eye rolling to "huhwha?"
