The way to tell you’re playing a truly great video game is if you find yourself wishing it was real. Just ask high school student Ben Caulkins. He was so inspired by Mass Effect 2’s impressive spaceship, the Normandy SR2, he built one of his own... out of Lego.
Ben’s no neophyte as far as cool Lego work goes; he once built himself a full suit of wearable Master Chief armor, inspired by the game Halo. His latest effort is an impressive, four-foot-long replica of the ship from Mass Effect 2 that took him seven months to complete (and this is while studying for SATs and preparing for college). Just this past weekend, Ben took this beauty to Brickworld, a fan expo for lovers of Lego, and blew everyone away.
Be sure to check out his Flickr stream for a good look at this creation as well as lots of other great work from a talented young mind.
