If you've ever wondered where on Earth people are tweeting from, this incredible worldwide Twitter map at least helps. MapBox’s Tom MacWright, along with and data artist Eric Fischer, used geotagged tweets to map out the location of tweets as well as which type of phone that person tweeted from. Red dots indicate a Tweet sent from an iPhone, while green is for Android, purpble is for BlackBerry, and anything else shows as a pink dot.
With 280 million data points, this map shows some interesting patterns. Give it a look and see what people are tweeting from in your neighborhood.
