If you're a PC gamer on Steam and have an AMD/ATI graphics card, you no longer have to worry about having to hunt for the newest ATI Catalyst graphics driver. Instead, you now can get the latest AMD/ATI drivers through Valve’s Steam service. And if you're a Steam members, you'll be notified whenever a new update is available.
Earlier this year, Valve announced that there were around 25 million people using Steam. Although only about a third of Steam users surveyed use AMD/ATI graphics cards, the AMD-Steam partnership still means that millions of gamers will be able to get the latest graphics drivers more quickly and easily. It should make customers happy and it lets AMD tick a box in its Gamers’ Manifesto.
The first ATI Catalyst driver update that will appear on Steam is ATI Catalyst 10.9.
