Type N Walk is an app that claims to facilitate the practice of text messaging while walking. As anyone who has ever fallen into raw sewage while texting knows, this practice can be dangerous because you tend to lose track of hazards in your path as you concentrate on the all-important task of sending texts. Type N Walk uses your phone's camera and superimposes text on your camera view as you type.

If that sounds like a good idea to you, prepare to be disappointed. The app rotates the camera view sideways, transforming what would have been merely an exercise in poor judgment into a far greater challenge. On the other hand, former Sidekick users may enjoy "sidetextin'" just as they formerly enjoyed "sidetalkin.'"

The best thing that can be said about this tool is that it might be a fun joke app to recommend to compulsively texting friends.
