Everyone loves Guillermo del Toro for, well, if not the Hellboy movies, then at least the Spanish-language breakout Pan's Labyrinth. Myself less so. I think he botched the humorless Hellboy flicks, then co-wrote an awful vampire novel with Chuck Hogan. Overrated would probably be the adjective I'm inclined to use.

Now he's lent his name to a new horror-themed game from Volition (Saints Row, Red Faction) called inSANE (not a typo--someone's a fan!), announced at Spike's video game awards this weekend, and according to the director, guaranteed to make you "<censored> your pants."

Always classy, that del Toro.

Don't look for this until 2013 at the earliest, plenty of time for Volition to get it right, as well as us to get tired of hearing about it.

I mean, two to three years notice THQ? Was that really necessary?
