If you spent the Memorial Day holiday on a beach or at a barbecue instead of in front of a computer, I’ve got some bad news: You missed out on a chance to get a free digital comic book. But don’t fret—you’ve still got 19 more chances to build up your digital comics library.

ComiXology is organizing the daily giveaway which runs through June 14. The Free Summer Reading List event kicked off Monday with the release of “Batman – The Black Mirror Part One” (DC Comics #871). Future giveaway titles have not been announced, likely to keep fans coming back to the site every single day to see what’s on offer. You can see for yourself by signing up with ComiXology.

ComiXology’s promotion comes nearly a month after the maker of the digital comics reading app raised the ire of some users by removing the in-app purchase option from its iOS version. iOS users now have to download comics from the ComiXology website, transferring them to their iOS device via the ComiXology app’s In the Cloud tab. Version 3.6 also doesn’t support in-app series and sales alerts.

As for the free comics promotion, you can download a freebie a day; you can’t collect already-issued giveaways once their 24-hour window is closed.
