Gamewatch: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Tactics Ogre

It's a pretty slack season for gaming, though Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds (Xbox 360, PS3) should gratify eSports and crossover arcade-style fighter wonks. By crossover, I just mean the whole Spider-Man-against-Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu-vs-Jill Valentine thing. It sounds weird, but it worked for Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, a 3-on-3 arcade brawler that came out over a decade ago. And according to our resident eSports maven, "If you liked Marvel vs. Capcom 2, you'll like Marvel vs. Capcom 3." ETA: 2/15

If you'd rather trade blows over turns, there's always Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSP), a remake of the 1995 Super Famicom tactical roleplaying game that predated Final Fantasy Tactics (also by the same guy, Yasumi Matsuno). In case you're wondering if the subtitle's another outlandish Japanese-to-English localization, it's actually plucked unaltered from the Queen song "Teo Torriatte" and the band's 1976 album A Day at the Races. Take a bow, Brian May. ETA: 2/15

And the rest due this week, by platform.

PC: You Don't Know Jack, Amnesia, Jewel Quest V: The Sleepless Star

Xbox 360: Brunswick Pro Bowling, Gears of War Triple Pack, Dance Paradise (Kinect)

PlayStation 3: Hyperdimension Neptunia Special Edition

Nintendo DS: Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation (available 2/13)
